Earlier in the week, the NFL announced that Colorado Buffaloes safety Shilo Sanders had not been invited to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. As a result, Sanders took to YouTube and released a video of himself still training for the NFL Draft despite not being invited to the official combine.
Not being invited to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine is not good news for Sanders’ NFL future. Before the announcement, he had been projected as a late-round draft pick. Though this omission does not definitively mean that he won’t be drafted, it certainly doesn’t help or improve his draft stock.

What Did Shilo Sanders Release on YouTube?
Sanders released the aforementioned video on the “Shilo Sanders” YouTube channel.
The video shows Shilo completing some footwork drills and running a 40-yard dash as well. The first thing heard in the video is Sanders detailing the situation of his Scouting Combine omission.
“I didn’t get invited to the Combine. So, they brought the combine to me,” he jokingly stated.
Shilo Sanders 2025 NFL Draft Projection
With the recent Scouting Combine news, it is unclear whether Sanders will be taken in the 2025 NFL Draft. He is a very good defensive player when healthy; however, he has dealt with various injuries over the past couple of seasons. Sanders has a high football IQ and is a strong tackler, something that allows him to set the tone for his team and create turnovers in the process.
Last season, Sanders had 67 total tackles, 45 solo tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble for the Buffaloes.
In PFSN’s recent seven-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft completed by Ben Rolfe, Sanders was selected with the final pick of the draft, No. 257 overall by the Cleveland Browns. In that same mock draft, Sanders’ brother, Shedeur Sanders, was picked No. 2 overall by the Browns as well.
While the story of both Sanders brothers going to the same NFL organization would be an exciting and interesting one, that now appears to be fully in doubt and in question after the news of Sanders’ invite omission from the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.
