Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes ended their 2024 campaign on a high note, winning 52-0 against Oklahoma State to finish with a 9-3 record. Although they did not make the College Football Playoff, this year’s run was a step up from last season, where they ended with a 4-8 record and finished last in their conference.
With the seniors’ time in college football coming to a close, it was an emotional day for the team in Boulder. Deion Sanders Jr., Coach Prime’s oldest son, recorded the many moments that transpired and uploaded them on his “Well Off Media” YouTube channel.
Vincent Dancy’s Speech Struck a Chord With Coach Prime’s Son Deion Jr.
In his latest video, posted on Monday and titled “NOBODY BELIEVED IN US,” defensive coach Vincent Dancy delivered a passionate speech to the departing players. He said:
“I’m proud, I love you guys… Through it all bro, everybody sacrificed and gave up something in order for the team to be successful. … Everybody in this room participated and that’s what I look back on and say, ‘Man, it was a hell of a team. It was a hell of a ride. It was hell of a journey.’
“Many coaches, man, I’m proud of you guys, man, for everything you poured into these young men. For everything. Every morning showing up, working late, the hours you put in.”
He then addressed the naysayers or those who didn’t believe in them or the team, adding:
“You’ve got a chance to be somebody. … Man, you’re going to be successful. Love life man, life is short. Embrace the people you’ve got around you. I always tell you (Deion Sanders) I appreciate you every day. I came a long way with you man and look where I am now. Cause of hard work. … Nobody call me and give me opportunity.
“Life ain’t gon be like that. What you do? You keep f*****g working. You put your pride to the side, you put your head down and you keep working and you keep praying and you say one day I will make it. One day I will make it and that’s what happened. So I want all you guys to believe in yourself. No matter what.”
The gratitude that Coach Dancey showed to the CU players & Coaches moved me to tears 😢!

The speech about believing in oneself resonated with many, especially Sanders Jr., who got nostalgic and reposted his old tweet from July, that said:
“Just thinking about it… @DeionSandersJr you are one of the best young designers out here! You’re great dawg.. a young 🐐. Don’t get discouraged. The world will see your greatness one day.”
In his repost on Dec. 2, he wrote:
“Tweet to myself a minute ago.. that’s why Coach Dancy’s speech had me turnt tf up today.”

PFN’s Latest Mock Draft Has NFL-Bound Shedeur Sanders Going No. 2
With Colorado’s senior athletes’ season now over, players are ready to step into the next chapter of their football careers. Among the highest-touted players from Colorado are quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver Travis Hunter. Pro Football Network’s latest mock draft has Shedeur going second overall to the Las Vegas Raiders.
While the season has ended for the signal-caller, he has one more opportunity to present himself in front of scouts and NFL team owners in the East-West Shrine Bowl in January.
Meanwhile, Hunter, a Heisman front-runner, was projected in this mock to be picked at No. 4 in Round 1 by the New England Patriots.
