Deion Sanders, the famous “Coach Prime,” is kicking off 2025 with a bold message for his 1.8 million social media followers on X (formerly known as Twitter). His message comes amid swirling rumors about his future as a coach, including a potential move to the Dallas Cowboys.
Coach Prime Sends Positive Vibes for Followers Amid Cowboys Rumors
Sanders took to X with an inspiring mantra for his followers, tweeting, “So what! That should be your attitude in 2025. They gon talk about u, lie on u, hate on u, underestimate u, count u out…What God has for u is still for u! They can’t stop God!”
So what! That should be your attitude in 2025 "SO WHAT"! They gon talk about u, lie on u, Hate on u, Underestimate u, Count u out, Steal from u, Use u to come up & Sit right in yo face all the while. "SO WHAT"! What God has for u is still for u! They can’t stop God! #CoachPrime

His post has fans speculating about whether this mindset applies to staying at Colorado or making a leap to the NFL. The motivational message arrives while the Dallas franchise is in search of its next head coach. Former ESPN reporter Ed Werder claimed that Sanders “would almost certainly accept” the role if Jerry Jones extended an offer.
However, Sanders continues to emphasize his commitment to the Colorado Buffaloes, where he’s established a winning culture and led the team to a 9-4 season in 2024. Reports have also suggested a mutual interest between Sanders and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, with the two engaging in preliminary conversations, which the Colorado HC also confirmed.
However, a potential move is far from simple. Jones would need to lighten his pockets by $8 million to buy out Sanders from his Colorado contract — a cost ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes might deter Jones despite his possessing the resources.
"Kellen Moore is somebody that knows the Cowboys organization and everything tells you that he's in play for this job..
Jerry Jones could take a big swing and go get Deion Sanders..

The idea of Sanders coaching his former team is nostalgic for fans and analysts, but the maths behind it is complex. Jones has a history of hiring “safe” candidates like Kellen Moore, who is also in contention for the Cowboys’ job.
Moore’s past success as Dallas’ offensive coordinator makes him a familiar and reliable choice, while Sanders represents a more high-risk, high-reward option. Another candidate in the mix to take command in Dallas is the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson.
As things stand, Coach Prime seems firmly rooted in Boulder, Colo. “I love Boulder and everything about our team, coaches, and community,” Sanders told ESPN. However, with his personality, ties to Dallas, and a penchant to make the headlines, one can not rule out the possibility of him taking on the job in Dallas. Whether it’s in the college ranks or on the big NFL stage, Sanders’ star power shows no signs of dimming in 2025.
