They’re good enough to compete for a Wild Card spot in the AFC with said talent, but they need a steady hand under center. Fans will undoubtedly want Ward here, but he won’t be ready for at least a full season. Imagine a defense with that talented secondary and two aliens on the edge pressuring the passer with outrageous consistency. Carter is practically a spitting image of Micah Parsons but with longer arms and a more well-rounded repertoire leaving the college ranks. His ascension throughout 2024 weekly was astronomical. He got better every week until it was crystal clear he was the most devastating defensive player in college football. No player in college football has helped themselves more in the back half of the season than Texas WR Matthew Golden. Since taking over as the team’s wide receiver on the right side of the formation after Isaiah Bond’s ankle injury, Golden took off in production. While some of that is because the Texas passing attack is entirely right-hand heavy, more of it has to do with his skill set. Golden is a quarterback’s best friend. Jerry Jeudy is an explosive weapon but can be frustratingly inconsistent at times. Golden is a sure-handed weapon who can go win a football in the air while also possessing some manipulative route-running prowess. He’s a great second option for a team with a dominant slot receiver like Cleveland. Ersery flashed starter-level traits at left tackle in 2024, but mentally and technically must show drastic improvements before protecting the blind side as an NFL starter. Sanders is another back in a class filled with three-down players. He’s lost some juice since his “Rocket” days at Arkansas, but he’s a legitimate route-running threat on the outside with soft hands. Sanders also has impressive vision and contact balance. Browns could also look to Bearcats RV Corey Kiner as a possible reinforcement in the roster. This season the CFB star has registered 204 carries with 1153 Rushing Yards and 4 TDs. Ducks' Jeffery Bassa is another option the Browns turn to. The young linebacker has had a decent season this year, with 23 Solo tackles, 1.5 Sacks and two Forced Fumbles. Justin Walley could also be a defensive option to acquire for the Browns. The defensive back has a decent season in 2024. He defended 10 passes, made 25 Solo Tackles and 2 Interceptions. The Browns could also look to acquire SMU's DE Elijah Robert's services. He had a good 2024 season, registering 17 Solo tackles, 7.5 Sacks and two forced fumbles. Iowa State Cyclones defensive back Malik could also be an effective addition to Browns roster in 2025 season. The young defensive star defended five passes in 2024 season, had 34 Solo tackles, one Forced Fumble and one Interception. Florida Gators defensive lineman Joey Slackman would also be a good fit for the Browns. He has had a good season in CFB and has made five tackles, out of which two were solo and the rest three were assists. Browns might look to acquire Penn State Nittany Lions linebacker Kobe King's services as well. The 6' 1", 251 lbs star had a good 2024 season with 53 solo tackles, three sacks and one forced fumble. Alabama's TE C.J. Dippre could also be one of the names in Browns' list. The player had a decent season recording 21 receptions with 256 receiving yards.
