Cincinnati Bengals Practice and Injury Report: Will Tee Higgins Play Sunday?

Things are looking up for Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins to play against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins called his chances of playing against Seattle “promising” on Thursday.

On Friday, head coach Zac Taylor used the word “positive.”

From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!

Will Bengals WR Tee Higgins Play in Week 6?

Taylor said Higgins will be listed as questionable on the injury report, and they will monitor his situation for the next 24 hours. But barring a setback, it sounds as though Higgins will play.

The 2020 second-round pick missed last week’s win in Arizona with a fractured rib suffered Oct. 1 at Tennessee. Higgins said Thursday that it’s a pain tolerance issue he’s going to have to deal with all year, and he’s eager to get back on the field.

Higgins was a full participant today for the first time since suffering the injury.

Taylor said cornerback Chidobe Awuzie will be listed as questionable as well with his back injury and will be a game-time decision. Awuzie injured his back Oct. 5 in practice and did not play against the Cardinals.

He sat out Wednesday’s practice and went limited Thursday and today.

DJ Turner II made his first career start with Awuzie inactive Sunday, and the rookie second-round continues to impress. He’s been rotating with Awuzie since the start of the season as the team has taken a slow approach to returning Awuzie to a full workload after he tore his ACL last Halloween.

Myles Murphy missed his second practice in a row due to the death of his grandmother, but Taylor said the rookie first-round pick will be returning to the facility later today and will be good to go Sunday.

Defensive tackle Josh Tupou did not practice Friday due to a toe injury and is listed as questionable for Sunday. Tupou, who previously had not been on the injury report, was a healthy scratch last week at Arizona, with the team opting to play Jay Tufele ahead of him.

Linebacker Devin Harper (hamstring) also is questionable.
