The Cincinnati Bengals were back in their indoor facility for the second consecutive practice Thursday, and for the second day in a row, wide receiver Tee Higgins was not participating.
On Wednesday, Higgins went through team stretch in his jersey but was listed as a non-participant on the team’s official injury report.
Bengals WR Tee Higgins Misses Second Straight Practice
Today, he was riding a stationary bike while the rest of the team went through stretching.
Higgins suffered a hamstring injury on his first catch in the first quarter of Sunday’s 25-17 loss at Kansas City. He sat out the rest of the first half but returned to action in the second half with the Bengals’ playoff hopes hanging in the balance.
Head coach Zac Taylor said Wednesday that Ja’Marr Chase, who is dealing with a shoulder injury, is further down the record to recovery than Higgins.
“I think they’re both sore coming out of the game. We’ll see where they go over the course of the week,” he said. “Ja’Marr is probably a little further along than Tee. We’ll just plan to play it day-by-day.”
Chase was taking part in team stretch this afternoon, one day after being named to his third consecutive Pro Bowl.

The team listed him as limited on Wednesday, but he appears intent on playing Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, as he sits just four receptions shy of 100 for the season.

The only player not present at practice during the portion open to the media was running back Joe Mixon, who was named a first alternate to the Pro Bowl on Wednesday.
Mixon showed up as a surprised limited during Friday’s practice last week with a foot injury, but he played the entire game in Kansas City and was not on the Wednesday injury report, so we’ll get a better indication about the reason for his absence when the team releases today’s injury report around 4:15 p.m.
Every other player on the 53-man roster was present today.
UPDATE 4:30 PM:
Mixon’s absence was due to an illness. Chase was a full participant and said after practice he’s playing.
Quarterback Jake Browning showed up with a foot injury, but he was a full participant.
Chase went full today. Browning showed up with a foot issue but went full.
