Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that Ja’Marr Chase went limited today for the second practice in a row and responded with a “we’ll see” when asked about the wide receiver’s chances of playing Sunday at Kansas City.
“We’ll just take it over the next 48 hours and see what happens,” Taylor said.
Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase’s Status Up in the Air for Sunday
The Bengals are listing Chase as questionable with the shoulder injury he suffered on Dec. 16 against the Minnesota Vikings, which forced him to miss last week’s loss at Pittsburgh.
Chase said Thursday he has been cleared by the doctors and it will come down to whether he’s mentally ready to play, and he certainly sounded like he was preparing to play with the shots he took at Kansas City’s defense.
Taylor had more to say about Chase’s comments than he did his playing status while talking with reporters after Friday’s practice.
“Ja’Marr is a confident guy, and so I don’t want to [criticize what he said],” Taylor said. “Those are things I wouldn’t say. I think it’s one of the best defenses in the league.
“Players sometimes talk to get riled up,” Taylor continued. “So that’s how it goes. There’s certainly a balance there. Listen, I always want to be respectful of our opponent, especially an opponent like this that I think does things the right way. They’re very talented. They’re well-coached. They post a lot of issues. They’re really a good football team.”
#Bengals RB Joe Mixon shows up with an ankle issue and was limited today, but he does not have a game status, so he's good to go.

The Bengals activated cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt from IR today, and Taylor said he is good to go for Sunday’s game. The team did not need to make a corresponding move because it waived defensive tackle Domenique Davis on Monday (and re-signed him to the practice squad Tuesday).
