Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson went down with an apparent injury late in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. Here’s the latest news on Watson.

From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!

    Latest Christian Watson Injury Update

Watson went down grabbing his right knee after his leg was landed on by Broncos cornerback Fabian Moreau as both went for an off-target pass from Jordan Love.

Watson jogged off the field gingerly after a play, immediately laid down on the sideline, and was then tended to by trainers.

Watson did not return to the game after suffering the injury, as Green Bay’s late comeback drive attempt ended one play later on an interception. He finished with three catches for 27 yards.

Watson had only made two previous appearances this season and entered the game with a total of five catches for 116 yards and one touchdown. He caught two passes for 25 yards and a score in a Week 4 loss to the Detroit Lions, then tallied three catches for 91 yards in last week’s loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Injury issues have previously kept Watson off the field this season and could now once again sideline Love’s explosive target. The second-year WR missed the first three games of the season with a hamstring injury.

    Fantasy Implications of Watson’s Injury

Prior to the final offensive possession of the game for the Packers, Watson had just three receptions for 27 yards on five targets against the Broncos.

The Packers passing offense has struggled to consistently produce without Watson in the lineup this season. But if Watson should miss any time in the coming weeks, Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed would be first in line to see extra looks in the passing game, with Dontayvion Wicks possibly factoring in, too. Doubs and Reed will be in WR3 consideration if Watson misses any time in the coming weeks.
