Is Christian McCaffrey Playing in Week 11?

After playing his first game of the season on Sunday, Christian McCaffrey was limited for practice both Wednesday and Thursday.

However, this is nothing to be concerned about. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that Wednesday’s limited practice was part of CMC’s maintenance program. He did not experience a flare-up with his Achilles injury.

On Friday, the 49ers removed McCaffrey from their injury report. He won’t bring a designation into Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.

As expected, San Francisco didn’t hold McCaffrey back in Week 10. He was deployed at his usual extreme rate, playing 88% of the club’s offensive while handling 13 carries and receiving seven targets.

While he didn’t score a touchdown, CMC’s six catches were enough to propel him to an RB11 finish in PPR leagues. It’s good to have one of the best fantasy assets of all time back on the field.

We’ll continue to monitor the 49ers injury report. You can also visit and bookmark our NFL Injury Tracker and Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.

Should You Start or Sit Christian McCaffrey in Week 11?

The long-awaited return of fantasy’s 1.01 wasn’t overwhelming from a box score standpoint (107 yards with no scores on 19 touches), but the usage checked every box. He made a big play on a Brock Purdy fadeaway jumper that reminded us all of just how different he is from the rest of the backs in this league.

If Week 10 was a ramping up of CMC, the rest of the NFL (and opposing fantasy teams) is in trouble. In two games against the Seahawks last season, all McCaffrey did was turn 35 carries into 259 yards and two scores.

    No big deal.

He also caught six of seven targets in both of those convincing victories. The version of McCaffrey that you drafted in August is here to carry your team during the home stretch.
