‘Jalen Hurts Hasn’t Played in a Month’ – Chris Broussard Predicts Jordan Love and Packers Pulling Off Massive Upset vs. Eagles

    Published on

Chris Broussard predicts an upset with Jordan Love leading the Packers to a win over the Eagles, citing Jalen Hurts' rust and Philly’s pressure.

It’s been a minute since Jalen Hurts took the field, and the rust might be real, but Chris Broussard is already predicting a shake-up. With Hurts sidelined for a couple weeks, Broussard’s got a bold take — he’s calling for Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers to pull off a massive upset against the Philadelphia Eagles.

It’s a risky call, especially with the Eagles sitting pretty at the top.

Chris Broussard Sees Packers Upsetting Eagles, Cites Jalen Hurts’ Rust and Philly’s Pressure

Broussard is calling for an upset. On FS1’s “First Things First,” he boldly predicted that the Packers will topple the Eagles, despite Hurts’ return. With Hurts sidelined since the first quarter of Week 16, Broussard sees rust in the Eagles’ offense, especially when the QB is coming off a long break.

“I think Green Bay is going to win this game. Philly, look, regardless of what the reports were about yesterday, Jalen Hurts hasn’t played in a month… So, I think he’s going to be rusty,” Broussard argued, setting the stage for an exciting matchup.

The Packers, according to Broussard, have nothing to lose. With the youngest team in the league and the playoffs still a big surprise, they enter free of pressure.

“And Green Bay’s playing with house money. Nobody expects them to win. They’re still the youngest team in the playoffs, youngest team in the league. So they’re coming out there free,” Broussard noted, emphasizing the advantage of a team without expectations.

Meanwhile, the Eagles’ Super Bowl-or-bust mentality is a massive weight on their shoulders.

And let’s not forget A.J. Brown. The star receiver has been vocal, and Broussard wonders how that might play into Hurts’ mindset as he tries to shake off the rust.

“And A.J. Brown, you know, is he going to be chirping? Is he going to Jalen to get him the ball? So I just think that Green Bay, I feel good about their chances of winning this, and I feel like all the pressure is on Philadelphia because they are SBOB [Super Bowl or Bust], and they better win this game or they will have a new coach,” he alluded.

With the spotlight on Philly, Broussard believes the pressure is all on them.

Love’s elbow might be the only thing holding him back from a Wild Card showdown with the Eagles. The Packers QB injured his right elbow in Week 18 loss to Chicago Bears after a hard fall. Malik Willis stepped in to finish the game, but the question on everyone’s mind is: will Love be ready to go for Sunday?

“We’ll see, yeah. I’m hopeful. Just based on my hand, getting back to it,” Love said when asked about his status. He’s been a limited participant in practice, but with two more sessions before the game, it’s still anyone’s guess.

The Packers are hoping Love’s elbow is good to go so they can unleash him on the Eagles in this high-stakes postseason clash. Let’s see if the elbow heals in time for the big stage.
