Chiefs WR Hollywood Brown Shares 3-Word Reaction To Finally Making His Season Debut With Defending Super Bowl Champs

The return of Hollywood Brown is finally upon us. Check out what the returning WR had to say for his debut in a Chiefs jersey.

Strange is the word that comes to mind when thinking about the Kansas City Chiefs this season. Usually, a team that loses its WR1, WR2, RB1, and kicker for long stretches of the season remains in jeopardy.

However, despite their depleted roster, the Chiefs have found a way to flip the script. They have the best record in the NFL through 15 weeks at 13-1, even though many try to frame it as luck. The scary proposition for opponents, however, is that the team is getting whole week by week.

First, Isiah Pacheco returned to boost the run game, with Harrison Butker following suit soon after. Now, their prize offseason acquisition Hollywood Brown is set to make his season debut in Week 16.

Hollywood Brown Has a Grateful Message Ahead of K.C. Debut

Brown was the first blow that Kansas City had to deal with in 2024. During the very first play of the first preseason game, Brown caught a pass and landed squarely on his shoulder. Immediately, he was out of the game, with the eventual diagnosis revealing a sternoclavicular joint injury.

Surgery on the shoulder pushed his return back several weeks, but the day has finally come. Against the Houston Texans in Week 16, Brown is set to make his debut for the Kansas City Chiefs. Before kickoff, the wide receiver had just gratitude on his mind: “Thank you Jesus,” his latest post read on X (formerly known as Twitter).

It was a far cry from the somber figure he cast back in September. When the injury first took place, his emotions were all over the place in a post that read:

“Disappointed , frustrated, and Sad was the first wave of emotions once I realized I would need surgery but that only lasted a day or so because Of my Faith in God. 🙏🏿 knowing that this to shall pass , no matter the great opportunity I had in front of me. It’s not over and that’s not the path God wanted for me and I’m perfectly fine with that now.”

But even then, Brown’s faith in God was clear as day as he promised to “See yall Soon”

For the Chiefs, the return could not come at a better time. Even though the 13-1 record might suggest otherwise, K.C. has regularly found itself in close encounters, squeaking out wins again and again. However, it has come at the cost of one of the worst statistical years of Patrick Mahomes’ career.

For the year, he averages career lows in yards per attempt, passing yards per game, and passer rating. The return of Brown, alongside the continued integration of Xavier Worthy and DeAndre Hopkins, should help matters.

With three games left in the year, it should give the QB and WR room enough time to build some chemistry and find a flow to the offense.
