Chiefs vs. 49ers Player Props: Deebo Samuel, Travis Kelce, and Brandon Aiyuk Are Top Targets

What are some of the top Chiefs vs. 49ers player props to target for this week's game in San Francisco? We highlight some of our favorite bets.

Two of the most complete teams in the NFL are set to battle on Sunday. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers could see each other in the Super Bowl with the right breaks throughout the season and playoffs.

This matchup has some intriguing player prop bets on Deebo Samuel, Travis Kelce, and Brandon Aiyuk to consider on top of the importance of the divisional race. Of course, all eyes will be on whether new 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey can make an impact.

We’re covering all sports betting aspects of this matchup, with lines courtesy of our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook. Want to cash in on the NFL this season? Head over to FanDuel Sportsbook, where you can get a no-sweat first bet up to $1,000.

Top Chiefs vs. 49ers Player Props To Target

For this Super Bowl contender showdown, we’re using every tool at our disposal to make sharp prop bets, including fantasy averages, player trends, and the best vig. Let’s dive into the best prop bets you can target.

Travis Kelce Player Props | Anytime TD (-120)

I’m at the point where I’m betting on Kelce to score every week. His yardage has varied each week, sometimes in the 50s and other times over the century mark. But his biggest value continues to be reaching the end zone.

Week 6 was the first time Kelce hadn’t reached paydirt since Week 2, but he had six touchdowns in the three games between then. The 49ers have an excellent defense led by linebacker Fred Warner. They’ve allowed an average of only 4.2 catches, 26.5 yards, and one-third of a touchdown to the tight end position this season.

Kelce is a different beast, though. No tight end has seen as many red zone targets as Kelce, and only Mark Andrews has had more than one-third of as many on the season. There’s no question Kelce will get an opportunity to score. It’s just a matter of if he catches it.

Deebo Samuel Player Props | Under 15.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

It’s hard to know how much we’ll actually see McCaffrey in his debut game just days after being acquired. He’ll apparently be considered in the red zone, where the 49ers could use a boost since they’re 14th in touchdown percentage. There’s no question he’s a massive upgrade going into an extremely favorable situation.

I think one reason the 49ers made such a bold move for McCaffrey is to take some of the load off Samuel in the running and receiving game. McCaffrey is still a premier talent who can create as well as almost any peer. Samuel’s seen his rushing responsibilities drop since 2021 and even the first three weeks of this year, with only two carries in each of the last three games.

I think Kyle Shanahan knows it’s time for Deebo to be the excellent receiver he can be, first and foremost. I’m looking at McCaffrey and Jeff Wilson to take almost all of the carries this game, and Samuel maybe gets one touch. I don’t like his chances of reaching 16 or more yards if he has one or two carries since he’s averaged only seven yards a game over the last four weeks.

Brandon Aiyuk Player Props | Over 54.5 Receiving Yards (-130)

Even if Samuel runs more routes than he has this season, which is still the vast majority of his snaps and touches, Aiyuk is in an excellent position to produce. He’s coming off his best game of the year, showing why fantasy pundits were all aboard his train entering the year. Facing a young secondary that hasn’t performed well bodes well for him.

The Chiefs’ defense, of course, has low rankings against the pass since they play from ahead so often. Their EPA is a better measurement, but also confirms their weakness, as they rank 25th against dropbacks. Jimmy Garoppolo won’t be facing much resistance from this group.

Aiyuk is averaging 53.5 receiving yards per game this season but has two weeks over that total in a row. I don’t think he’ll need more than three or four catches to reach this number.

Patrick Mahomes Player Props | Over 0.5 Interception (-105)

Mahomes is superhuman, but he’s not nearly as averse to interceptions as Aaron Rodgers is. He’s benefited from dropped interceptions and still has a 1.7 percent interception rate this season. That’s still great, but Mahomes throws the ball a ton, and the NFL’s No.1 defense in passing EPA will be swarming.

San Francisco is so dangerous on defense because of their pass rush and versatile secondary. Defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryan has this unit flying around. They also play a lot of two-high looks, which has given Mahomes more trouble than any other coverage in the past.

I think if any defense can force a mistake out of Mahomes, it’s one with Nick Bosa crashing down upon him snap after snap.
