Chiefs Travis Kelce Hinting Andy Reid Played Matchmaker With Taylor Swift – “Who Knew Cupid Was So Big?”

Another wrinkle to the Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift saga has been uncovered. Could Chiefs head coach Any Reid have been the matchmaker?

It may be a fair assessment to say that no one had a better weekend than Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. His team won, he scored a touchdown in the game, and when he looked up in his family suite, he saw 12-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift cheering him on, sitting next to his mother.

The biggest story in sports and pop culture is simply too good to go away, and in the latest episode of “New Heights,” the weekly podcast hosted by the two Kelce brothers, Travis had to speak to the eventful weekend directly but may have dropped a little own nugget about the pairing and how it may come back to his head coach — Andy Reid.

Andy Reid: Head Coach and Matchmaker?

Kelce alluded to the fact that his head coach may have played a role in the couple coming together. At least, that’s what Reid thinks happened.

“Then you got Coach Reid telling everybody he’s Cupid,” Kelce started. “He’s been manifesting this the whole time, he’s the one who set us up.”

Jason asked Travis if there was any truth to this, but Travis stopped short of giving his head coach the credit. After a deep sigh and a long pause, he said, “I don’t know how to answer that.

“I know that he had met the Swift family before, so I don’t know. He could’ve been in the background the whole time. Who knew Cupid was so big?” Kelce would hilariously continue.

Now Travis isn’t saying that coach Reid is responsible for the oh-so-popular couple – but he also isn’t ruling it out either. Either way, this is just another funny chapter in an otherwise wild dating story between two stars.

Chiefs’ Offense Clicking Since Travis Kelce Returned

Week 1 was a tough outing for the Chiefs and their offense, as they lost on opening night to the Detroit Lions. However, since Kelce’s return to the lineup, it looks like they’re back to their old ways, and that is surely no coincidence.

Since Kelce was reinserted back into the lineup in Week 2, he has tallied 11 receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

Kelce is Patrick Mahomes’ safety blanket, and it’s clear that the offense looks much more in sync when the former is healthy and on the field.

Week 1 was a struggle for Kansas City, but since Kelce’s return, they have looked every bit the part of being the defending Super Bowl champs.
