Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Hollywood Brown is beaming with joy, and why shouldn’t he? The Chiefs are just one win away from a historic three-peat, and Brown will make his first Super Bowl appearance when they face the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on Feb. 9.
The receiver, who started his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens, has been dreaming of a Super Bowl appearance and shared his joy after Kansas City emerged triumphant in the AFC Championship Game.
Hollywood Brown Shares His Feelings After Childhood Dream Comes True
Brown was on the Arizona Cardinals when the Chiefs won their last two Super Bowls. Following their overtime victory against the San Francesco 49ers in Super Bowl 58, the wide receiver said he was praying to experience a similar atmosphere someday.
“Pray one day I get to experience a Super Bowl, Atmosphere crazy,” he wrote in February 2024.
His prayers were half-answered a month later when Kansas City signed him on a one-year contract. However, Brown suffered a sternoclavicular injury during the preseason and missed most of the regular season before returning in December.

The 27-year-old impressed on his debut against the Houston Texans in a Week 16 matchup, posting five catches for 45 yards. While he was less effective and finished with zero receptions on two targets against the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round, Brown generated three receptions on five targets for 35 yards in Sunday’s 32-29 AFC Championship Game win over the Buffalo Bills.
The wide receiver revisited his prayer from last year after the victory and expressed gratitude to the heavens.
“Thank you God see y’all in New Orleans,” he wrote on X.

Speaking after the game, Brown said reaching the Super Bowl was a moment he had dreamt of as a kid and was blessed to be able to make it come true.
“No, ain’t nothing like this. This is what we would dream of as a kid, this is what you want to be a part of and you know it’s a blessing,” he told KSHB 41 when asked if he had experienced such an atmosphere before.
The receiver thanked his teammates for carrying the Chiefs into the playoffs in his absence, admitting that he wanted to help them.
“Thank God, and thank my teammates, you know, when I couldn’t play, just those guys were going at it and I just wish I was there to help them. So now being able to be here, help them on and off the field, it’s been a blessing man.”
Kansas City finished with a 15-2 record in the regular season and after the victory over the Bills on Sunday, it is looking to become the first team in the NFL to win three consecutive Super Bowls. Brown said that everyone was locked in and they were ready to complete the three-peat.
“I feel like the culture here, you know, everyone is locked in. We know what’s at stake, we know what we’re going from. I feel like we all got the same mission.”
The Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59. While Philadelphia is fresh off a resounding 55-23 win in the NFC Championship game, the defending champions will be the favorites nonetheless.
