You would think that it would be all doom and gloom for the Kansas City Chiefs after being humiliated in Super Bowl 59. To the contrary, the Chiefs still went ahead with their planned Super Bowl party despite the loss. Big names from the music world took to the stage to perform for the crowds that had gathered to sing along.

Kansas City Chiefs Embarrassed by Philadelphia Eagles
On a day that could have gone down in Chiefs franchise history for all the right reasons, it was historically bad for some of the wrong ones.
Patrick Mahomes struggled to cope with the Eagles’ pass rush all game despite Philadelphia not blitzing the Chiefs’ quarterback even once. In a first half in which Kansas City failed to score a single point, Mahomes’ 33 passing yards was the lowest first-half total of his career so far.
If you needed yet more evidence of how badly Kansas City struggled offensively in the first half, those 33 passing yards were 10 more than the team’s total first-half yardage.
Twenty-three total offensive yards is the lowest of any first half that the Chiefs have ever played with Mahomes starting. His three total turnovers (two interceptions, one fumble), meanwhile, is the most of any playoff game in his career.
Xavier Worthy, on the other hand, broke the rookie record for most receiving yards in a Super Bowl with 157. Travis Kelce also made his way into the record books in New Orleans, breaking Jerry Rice’s all-time playoff receptions record. Kelce now has 35 receptions in 25 postseason games, and Chiefs fans will be hoping he comes back for more in 2025.
But those two records will do little to ease the pain of what was an abysmal defeat for the Chiefs. A game in which they were completely outplayed from start to finish, this one will take some time to get over.
Chiefs Host Postgame Party
Despite the horrific showing on the field, the Chiefs still threw their scheduled postgame party with some big-name musical performances.
The Chainsmokers, rapper MGK, and country star Shaboozey graced the stage at the Chiefs event as guests looked to rally after the defeat. In a video posted online, fans can be heard singing along to the latter’s hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

In an event that was no doubt intended to celebrate a historic “three-peat,” it’s good to see that many fans were still able to enjoy a song and a dance. Kansas City remains one of the most feared teams in the NFL, and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they’re playing for it all again in February 2026.
