The 2024 NFL season is exciting for the Chicago Bears, who underwent a rapid rebuild this past offseason.
The additions of Caleb Williams, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, and D’Andre Swift have left the Bears with a very different look from last season. However, major changes do not always result in success, and Chicago could find itself in a state of limbo this season.
With the expectation being that the Bears may need another offseason to complete their transformation from a struggling team in the NFC to a potential contender, our Bears 7-round mock draft examines what moves they may look to make next April.
Who Could the Chicago Bears Draft in 2025?
1.18) Chicago Bears: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
The Bears nailed the 2024 NFL Draft with Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze. If there was one criticism to make, it was that they didn’t address EDGE early enough. But the class was also weaker in the Day 2 range. In 2025, they’ll get the chance to make up for it.
Mykel Williams still has a ways to go with his hand refinement, but his raw power and athleticism at 6’5″, 265 pounds is nearly impossible to replicate. He’s devastating on stunts, and together, he and Montez Sweat can crunch the pocket beyond recognition.
When you look at the Bears’ roster in 2024, the pass rush certainly stands out as an area of need. Sweat is a potential game-wrecker, but with no one opposite him, he could get double-teamed out of games. Adding a dangerous threat on the other side will prevent that from happening in 2025 and beyond.
2.33) Chicago Bears: Xavier Nwankpa, S, Iowa
Xavier Nwankpa needs to improve his weaving ability in the deep third, but he’s one of the most naturally talented center field safety prospects to hit the circuit in some time.
At 6’2″, 210 pounds, Nwankpa has elite range, short-area quickness, and playmaking instincts.
The Bears are certainly not short of talent at safety in 2024, but they do not have anyone at the position under contract beyond 2026. Therefore, even if they re-sign or extend some players, they will still want to add some fresh talent with upside next offseason.
2.50) Chicago Bears: Will Sheppard, WR, Colorado
If Keenan Allen walks following the 2024 season, Will Sheppard could step in and keep things moving alongside Rome Odunze and DJ Moore. Size-adjusted fluidity and separation nuance are two of Sheppard’s biggest strengths at 6’3″, 205 pounds.

3.82) Chicago Bears: Jaeden Roberts, OG, Alabama
If Nate Davis fails to rebound in 2024, the Bears could be looking at a major need at guard. At 6’5″, 316 pounds, Jaeden Roberts can fill the void with his heavy hands and anchor.
