Where to watch tonight’s NFL preseason action? Pro Football Network has you covered with a complete game schedule.
What NFL Preseason Games Are on Tonight?
Green Bay Packers at Cincinnati Bengals
Game Time: 7 p.m. ET
Channels: NFL Network, NFL+
The Green Bay Packers travel to face the AFC North champion Cincinnati Bengals in the preseason opener for both teams. The Packers officially usher in the Jordan Love era and begin to develop their new QB after they dealt future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers away in the offseason.
The Cincinnati Bengals will be without QB Joe Burrow as he continues to nurse a calf injury. Keep an eye on how the Bengals juggled their backfield behind Joe Mixon.
New York Giants at Detroit Lions
Game Time: 7 p.m. ET
Channels: NBC, NFL+
The New York Giants travel to Detroit to face the Lions in their preseason opener. Expect the Giants to keep RB Saquon Barkley on ice for this one. I will be interested to see how New York’s WR room performs in the preseason, as it feels like they have a cast of characters with little to no defined roles in the offense.
I am excited to see some newer pieces on the Lions’ offense. Hopefully, we get a glimpse of RB Jahmyr Gibbs and how Detroit plans to implement him. Keep an eye out for TE Sam LaPorta, who has been a camp standout and has a clear runway to a starting role.
Atlanta Falcons at Miami Dolphins
Game Time: 7 p.m. ET
Channels: FOX, NFL+
All eyes will be on the backfields in this one. The Atlanta Falcons unveil the No. 8 overall selection in the 2023 NFL Draft, RB Bijan Robinson — widely considered the best back to enter the league in several years.
On the other sideline, De’Von Achane has been lighting up Miami Dolphins camp. His explosiveness could be on display in this one.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Game Time: 7 p.m. ET
Channels: ESPN+, NFL+
I’m paying close attention to the QB position on both teams in this one. Kenny Pickett is entering an all-important Year 2 for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and I’m looking to see if he has complete command of the offense with the talented weaponry around him.
For Tampa Bay, it’s all about the QB camp battle between Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask. Most onlookers believe that Mayfield has the upper hand and will get to start in the preseason opener. Pay close attention to see if he has developed any rapport with his receivers in what should be a new-look offense in Tampa.
Washington Commanders at Cleveland Browns
Game Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
Channels: ABC, NFL+
This one is also all about the QB position. Beginning with the home team, Deshaun Watson will be under center in this one for Cleveland. We saw a cameo of Watson to end the 2022 season, but he looked nothing like the quarterback we remembered during his Houston Texans tenure. Reportedly, the Browns QB is still knocking off some of the rust, and getting game action under his belt will be beneficial.
For Washington, I’m looking at the pseudo-QB battle. From all accounts, it appears to be Sam Howell who will get the nod in 2023, but with head coach Ron Rivera’s job on the line, expect the second-year QB to have a short leash with veteran Jacoby Brissett one step behind him. If Howell falls on his face during the preseason, the calls for Brissett under center will only get louder.
Denver Broncos at Arizona Cardinals
Game Time: 10 p.m. ET
Channels: NFL Network, NFL+
The Arizona Cardinals will be without Kyler Murray in this one as he continues to work his way back from a knee injury. Arizona’s QB situation remains fluid, with Colt McCoy and rookie Clayton Tune battling it out to start until Murray is ready.
For the Denver Broncos, this is about a revitalization under new head coach Sean Payton and how the former Super Bowl-winning coach can turn Russell Wilson around. I will tune in to see if Denver’s offense has more of a heartbeat than it did a season ago and if Wilson develops an early-preseason rapport with Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Greg Dulcich, or Marvin Mims.
