Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
He joins Nick Bosa, the Defensive Player of the Week, and Jason Mayers, the Special Teams Player of the Week. This is Lamb’s first time receiving this honor, and he becomes the first Cowboys receiver to win the award since Amari Cooper in 2018.
According to the Cowboys, this makes him the eighth Cowboys receiver to win NFC Offensive Player of the Week. He joins names like Michael Irvin, Terrell Owens, Miles Austin, and Dez Bryant, who have all previously received the recognition.
CeeDee Lamb Makes History
But this didn’t come as a surprise after the receiver’s performance on Sunday, and it has been a long time coming with how he has performed since Week 6.
After the Cowboys’ loss to the 49ers in Week 5, Lamb asked for the ball more, and that’s precisely what he’s been getting.
On Sunday, Lamb set an NFL record for having his third consecutive game with 10+ catches and 150 receiving yards. He had 11 receptions for 151 receiving yards and two touchdowns against the Giants.
“I’m a top receiver in this game, and there’s no question about it,” said Lamb after the 49-17 win.

So far this season, he has 975 yards and five touchdowns on 68 receptions. Although this isn’t Lamb’s first time breaking a record, he says it’s meaningful and indicates he is doing something right.
Lamb and Dak Prescott’s Chemistry
It has been no secret that Lamb and Dak Prescott have an undeniable chemistry on the field that has sparked a new level for both of their games.
After the Week 10 contest, Prescott discussed Lamb being a top receiver in the league, saying, “I know the work that he puts into this. You’re not going to be able to cover him 1-on-1. I don’t know who you are, who you have, or who you think you have on the other side. You’re just not going to be able to cover him.”
In the last four games, Prescott has thrown for 1,354 yards, 617 of which have gone to Lamb. If Prescott and Lamb keep on this uphill trajectory, the Cowboys offense can continue to climb to new heights.
