Cleveland Browns second-year wide receiver Cedric Tillman has excelled since Jameis Winston was named the team’s starting quarterback. However, Tillman appeared to suffer an injury at the end of the third quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12.
Here’s the latest on Tillman’s injury following a hard hit on Thursday night.
What Happened to Cedric Tillman?
After hauling in his second pass of the night against Pittsburgh, Tillman absorbed a massive hit from Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen. While Tillman was initially able to fight through the contact after the initial hit, he appeared to be wobbly and fell to the ground after the play was over.

Tillman entered the blue medical tent on Cleveland’s sideline following the hit. After being examined on the sideline, Tillman went to the Browns’ locker room and he is being evaluated for a concussion, according to Kelsey Russo of The Athletic.
Fantasy Impact of Tillman’s Injury
This Jameis Winston offense has been fueling four viable options, and an injury stands to condense that in a meaningful way.
Better weather days are ahead, and when that’s the case, this offense can support three pass catchers at a reasonable rate — if Tillman misses time, Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore, and David Njoku all see their value increase, with the latter already locked into lineups and the receivers moving up the Flex rankings.
