Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks Inactives
Note that the full inactive list is released by teams 90 minutes before kickoff. This list will be updated at that time.
Arizona Cardinals Week 12 Injury Report
Emari Demercado, RB
Demercado (shoulder) doesn’t have a designation for Sunday’s contest in Seattle. Demercado began Week 12 prep with back-to-back limited practices due to a shoulder issue, but his ability to handle every rep Friday paved the way for him to continue to be available out of the Cardinals backfield.
Still, rookie third-rounder Trey Benson seemed take over the No. 2 role behind starter James Conner in the team’s two games before a Week 11 bye, as the former logged 32 offensive snaps and 21 touches versus 21 and nine, respectively, for Demercado during that span.
At the very least, though, Demercado should be good for at least a handful of touches Sunday, as he averages 3.1 per game on the season.
Max Melton, CB
Melton (illness) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Seahawks. Melton was added to the Cardinals’ injury report Thursday after recording a DNP due to an illness. However, the rookie corner from Rutgers practiced in full Friday, suggesting that he’s moved past his illness in time for Sunday’s divisional matchup. With Melton back at full health, he’s expected to serve as one of Arizona’s top corners in Week 12.
Jalen Thompson, S
Thompson (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Seahawks. Despite head coach Jonathan Gannon labeling Thompson as “day-to-day” Wednesday, the 26-year-old was unable to practice all week, so it’s no surprise that he won’t suit up in Week 12.
With Thompson set to be sidelined for the second consecutive game Sunday, Dadrion Taylor-Demerson is expected to start alongside Budda Baker as part of the Cardinals’ top safety duo.
Final Cardinals Injury Report
Kelvin Beachum, OL (NIR-Rest) – playing; Jalen Thompson, S (Ankle) – Out; Emari Demercado, RB (Shoulder) – playing; Darius Robinson, DL (Calf) – Questionable; Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, S (Back) – playing; Jonah Williams, OL (Knee) – Questionable; Isaiah Adams, OL (Back) – playing; Max Melton, CB (Illness) – playing; Xavier Thomas, OLB (Back) – Questionable
Seattle Seahawks Week 12 Injury Report
Noah Fant, TE
Coach Mike Macdonald said Friday that Fant (groin), who is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game versus the Cardinals, is “trending well,” and a decision on his upcoming availability will be made Saturday.
Fant has been sidelined for three weeks and two games due to a groin injury, but after he went from no activity Wednesday to some Thursday and full participation Friday, Macdonald’s comments indicate the tight end has a decent chance to return to action this weekend.
The Seahawks have a 4:25 p.m. ET kick-off on Sunday, so a good portion of the Week 12 slate will be underway once the team posts its list of inactives about 90 minutes prior. AJ Barner would take on most of the TE reps for Seattle if Fant is inhibited or sidelined.
Rayshawn Jenkins, S
Jenkins (hand) doesn’t carry an injury designation into Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.
Jenkins, however, remains on injured reserve, but he’s expected to be activated by Saturday afternoon and will be eligible to play against Arizona. Jenkins was injured in Week 6 and missed the required four games while on IR. He played 100 percent of the defensive snaps in each of the Seahawks’ initial six contests.
Tyler Lockett, WR
The Seattle Seahawks gave veteran wideout Tyler Lockett the day off on Wednesday. He returned to practice in full on Thursday.
On Friday, Lockett was limited, but the Seahawks listed his injury as rest/foot. Regardless, he was removed from the club’s injury report and is good to go against the Cardinals in Week 12.
Laviska Shenault, WR
Shenault (back) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.
He has played a total of 43 offensive snaps this season. He’s caught all five of his targets for 36 yards and rushed one time for one yard. Shenault mainly plays on special teams for Seattle.
Dee Wiliams, CB
Williams (ankle) doesn’t carry an injury designation into Sunday’s game against the Cardinals and is expected to play.
He was injured in last Sunday’s win over the 49ers, but it clearly wasn’t a long-term issue. The reserve cornerback has played four defensive snaps this season and another 119 on special teams.
Leonard Williams, DE
Williams (foot) doesn’t carry an injury designation into Sunday’s game against the Cardinals and is expected to play.
He has been dealing with the foot injury for a couple weeks but should be out there for this NFC West tilt. On the season, Williams has logged 25 tackles (13 solo), including 2.5 sacks, and 14 QB hits.
