In any event, it’s clear that while Washington retooled its offense to try and make some noise in the NFC East, Arizona’s aspirations for this season may be geared more toward the 2024 NFL Draft.
While Sam Howell enters as the clear-cut No. 1 quarterback in Washington, Arizona’s QB situation is a mess. Kyler Murray is out for at least the first four games after undergoing surgery for a torn ACL. Josh Dobbs appears to be the man taking over for now.
Washington simply has too many playmakers on the offensive side of the ball, with a solid wide receiver duo of Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson, as well as a strong running back combination of Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson.
A new owner (Josh Harris), a new quarterback (Howell), and a new OC (Eric Bieniemy) have the Commanders’ fan base fired up for this season. The first step should be taking care of the teams you’re supposed to beat.
