Caleb Williams’ dad is among the most involved fathers in the game. He has been preparing the former Heisman Trophy winner for the league since he was 10.
The Chicago Bears QB’s dad has often faced the spotlight due to his involvement in his son’s collegiate and NFL career. Here’s everything you need to know about him.
Who Is Caleb Williams’ Father?
Caleb is the only child of his parents, Carl Williams and Dayna Price, who have been there to see their son grow into one of the most talked about college football players and the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. They also supported him as he broke many gender-specific stereotypes, like wearing nail polish, carrying a purse, or letting his emotions out in the open.
The former USC star’s dad laid out a specifically designed path for his son that could make him one of the best football players. In an interview with GQ, Carl talked about arranging pre-dawn workout sessions daily and setting up an early bed routine with the thermostat set to a maximum of 68 degrees, which ensured his recovery while he slept.
The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner’s dad started making a spreadsheet that included programs and their abilities to help him become the NFL star they worked so hard for.
Caleb joined the “Athletic Republic,” which is considered one of the best training facilities in Maryland and is co-owned by his father. Along with the training facility, Carl was appointed as the Chicago QB’s official agent and made most of the critical decisions in his career.
The former USC quarterback’s father turned heads when he stated that Caleb might just come back to college for another year to play under Lincoln Riley if he’s not content with the team that drafted him as the No. 1 pick.
Carl also encouraged Caleb to enter the transfer portal after spending one season with the Oklahoma Sooners, which the fans didn’t accept very well. However, the ex-USC QB did as his dad said; the rest is history.
