Caitlin Clark, women’s basketball royalty, recently joined the ultimate Chiefs diva, Taylor Swift, in her suite at Arrowhead Stadium when the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs. Clark, a diehard Chiefs fan and an even bigger Swiftie, called it a dream come true.
She even referred to the Chiefs as “we” and admitted she was nervous about being bad luck, recalling that the last time she attended a game at Arrowhead, Kansas City lost.
What Went Down in Taylor Swift’s Suite With Caitlin Clark at Arrowhead?
Clark was downright giddy after the game, sharing her excitement in a YouTube video. She had nothing but praise for Swift, who has become a close friend and was thrilled to see Travis Kelce score a touchdown. Most importantly for Clark, the Chiefs won — meaning she’s hopeful for another invite, maybe even to Super Bowl 59.
“It’s just cute to see how excited she is for the Chiefs and getting to share that,” Clark said. “I was like, ‘Oh my God, she loves this! She loves the Chiefs as much as me. This is incredible!’ We had so much fun, and honestly, it was the perfect game.
“The Chiefs won, it was close at halftime, Travis scored a huge touchdown, and we ended up winning. There was nothing crazy that happened, and we felt confident as it got to the end. It ended up being a perfect game. I was a little nervous because the last time I went to Arrowhead, we lost. I was like, ‘I don’t want to be a bad luck charm!’ But it’s all good — we figured it out, and I am allowed back.”
Clark continued her glowing review of the Chiefs and Swift.
“Taylor is very sweet and very kind, and it’s just a good reminder that people in our position … we are very normal,” Clark said on the “Swarmcast: An Iowa Hawkeyes podcast.” “Sometimes our lives aren’t normal, but we are very normal people, and we enjoy doing fun things, too.”
It was a big win for the Chiefs but also for Swift’s superstar boyfriend. Kelce led the team with seven catches for 117 yards and a touchdown, helping Kansas City advance to the Super Bowl.
Clark’s night at Arrowhead wasn’t just a dream come true for a diehard Chiefs fan — it was another example of her rising star power.
