Buffalo Bills Predicted To Upgrade Josh Allen’s Weapons by Adding 11-TD WR in 2025 NFL Draft

The Bills and Josh Allen could see an end to their downfield offensive woes, predicting to pick this high-upside wide receiver in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Buffalo Bills offense was stellar throughout the 2024 season. However, more conservative than explosive, the lack of major avenues to break open a game became apparent for Buffalo in the playoffs. Now, after a fourth playoff defeat at the hands of Patrick Mahomes, they need to regroup.

According to most predictions, that turnaround begins with adding new supporting pieces around MVP Josh Allen. One way to do that is through the 2025 NFL Draft, and Buffalo is predicted to pick Texas Longhorns’ wide receiver Isaiah Bond.

Bills Projected To Add Isaiah Bond to Josh Allen’s Receiving Options

Since trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans, the Bills have been looking for a consistent veteran receiver. They added Amari Cooper in the middle of last season, but his contributions weren’t as meaningful as Buffalo had anticipated.

Instead, he finished with just 547 yards on the season, with nearly half of that coming as a member of the Cleveland Browns. Moreover, he was a relative no-show in the postseason, tallying just 41 total yards over three games.

Meanwhile, Mack Hollins was their only threat down the field and managed just 378 receiving yards for two touchdowns. That’s where Bond could help, and PFSN’s latest seven-round mock draft by Ben Rolfe projects Buffalo picking him at No. 62 in Round 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft.

“There was a time when Isaiah Bond had a first-round projection on him, which demonstrates just how much upside he has. He has impressive speed and separation abilities and can be a threat going down the field as well as with the ball in his hands on short routes.

“The Bills need to add more downfield capability to their offense, having had to rely on Mack Hollins down the stretch. Bond’s size is a concern in terms of getting off the line, so the Bills will need to be smart about how they line him up until he adds some bulk.”

Bond initially committed to Alabama out of Buford High School in Georgia. He wasn’t overly productive as a high school player, but Alabama’s coaching staff saw the vision, and as a true freshman, Bond got his feet wet as a rotational WR and special teams player.

In 2022, Bond caught 17 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown and returned a punt for 34 yards. In 2023, he upped his game, racking up 48 receptions for 668 yards and four scores — including a legendary game-winning touchdown catch against Auburn in the Iron Bowl.

Following Nick Saban’s retirement, Bond transferred to Texas and racked up 34 receptions for 540 yards and five touchdowns in 2023.

    Bond’s Scouting Report

Here are some highlights from PFN’s scouting report on Bond:

“Physically, Bond has everything he needs to be a stellar three-level threat in the modern game. His blend of explosiveness, speed, and flexibility is extremely conducive to route-running success, and those same mobility traits make him an RAC weapon defenses must respect.

“Already, Bond is a fairly smooth and nuanced separator, with an impressive route tree and good alignment versatility. And on the vertical plane, his speed — in tandem with his ball-tracking ability, body control, and steady hands — makes him a dangerous big-play threat.

“Bond is a speed threat with separation chops, but he also plays with surprising physicality. In fact, one of his most exciting traits is the authority with which he approaches positioning and how he continually forces defenders to play big with his active hands leading up to catches.”
