The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to add two-time Pro Bowler Haason Reddick on a one-year deal to bolster their pass rush. In 2024, Tampa Bay tied for fifth in team sacks (46), led by defensive tackles Calijah Kancey (7.5) and Vita Vea (7), with linebacker Lavonte David and defensive end Logan Hall each adding 5.5. The Buccaneers finished No. 18 in total defense, allowing 341.8 yards per game.

Haason Reddick Expected To Sign $14 Million Deal
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Buccaneers and Reddick have agreed to terms on a one-year, $14 million contract negotiated by agent Drew Rosenhaus.
Reddick sat out the first seven weeks of 2024 due to a contract dispute. He eventually reworked his deal and returned to the New York Jets on Oct. 20 but managed just one sack in 10 games (393 defensive snaps).
The 6-foot-1, 240-pound linebacker was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Jets in exchange for a conditional third-round pick in 2026. For the pick to convert to a second-rounder, Reddick had to play at least 67.5% of snaps, which he did not.
Now, Reddick joins one of the league’s best pass-rushing units. This after the Buccaneers have also agreed to a one-year, $10 million deal with David, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Tampa Bay was reportedly interested in Khalil Mack, but he re-signed with the Los Angeles Chargers on a one-year, $18 million deal. Other notable free agents on the Buccaneers’ current roster include linebackers K.J. Britt and J.J. Russell, edge rushers Anthony Nelson, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, and Shaq Barrett, and defensive tackles Greg Gaines, William Gholston, Eric Banks, and C.J. Brewer.
Reddick’s Ranking on PFSN Top 121 Free Agents
Reddick ranked No. 67 on PFSN’s Top 121 Free Agents, with analyst Sterling Xie stating, “The Buccaneers need more juice in their pass rush after being one of the worst pressure-to-sack conversion defenses last year. On a one-year deal, Haason Reddick is a worthwhile bet to recapture his 2022-23 form and address that weakness.”
Reddick’s impending arrival in Tampa Bay received a B+ grade. His career production isn’t in question — his 51.5 sacks since 2020 rank sixth-most in the NFL — but he’s coming off a down year in New York, marred by contract disputes and poor production.
“At his best, Haason Reddick is much better than this ranking shows, but he comes with a lot of risk,” Xie wrote. “After forcing his way out of Philadelphia, Reddick then took a long time to suit up for the New York Jets, only playing 10 games. When he did get on the field, the numbers were not that impressive, with just one sack, an 11.6% pressure rate, and a 6.4% tackle rate.”
Reddick has 59 career sacks, 102 quarterback hits, and 424 total tackles (71 for loss) over 124 NFL games. He has also forced 17 fumbles and recovered five. The two-time Pro Bowler (2022, 2023) now looks to bounce back in Tampa Bay.
