The Cleveland Browns have been in the NFL for over 75 years, joining the league after the 1949 season. Over the decades, they have built a rich history filled with highs and legendary talents. However, since moving to Huntington Bank Field in 1999, the team hasn’t experienced the same level of success.
In that time — a span of over two decades — the Browns have just three playoff victories to show for it. Now, with Myles Garrett locked in on a historic contract and a potential new future beyond Deshaun Watson, Cleveland is looking to turn the page. A significant step in that direction is now official.

Cleveland Browns Announce New Stadium
A tumultuous offseason is starting to stabilize, especially after Garrett’s record-breaking extension. But the team wants to make a lasting cultural shift, and a brand-new stadium is the first step.
It was announced that the Browns will move to the outskirts of Cleveland, with their new venue set to be built in Brook Park. The team made the official announcement in a video on their X account, featuring a highly digitalized rendering of what the stadium will look like.

The project comes with a massive price tag for Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam. NFL insider Adam Schefter revealed just how much they are investing.
“The Haslams have committed to privately investing $2 billion-plus in a dome stadium and mixed-use development project a mile outside Cleveland city limits, with the intention of cementing the team’s future in Northeast Ohio.”
With their lease at Huntington Bank Field expiring after the 2028 season, the new home is expected to be ready by 2029. The Browns’ ownership group is fully committed to bringing back the dominance and prestige of the franchise.
The team also released an official statement about the project:
“The Cleveland Browns and our community need and deserve a new home – and from the outset, we have been unequivocal that it must positively benefit our community and Northeast Ohio.
“The proposed Huntington Bank Field in Brook Park meets this vital objective and will reflect positively on our world-class region and its promising future. It also reflects our 100% commitment to keeping the Browns in their home market for generations to come.”
Though the stadium will be in a new location, it will still carry the Huntington Bank Field name due to a 20-year naming rights deal, a partnership that began in September 2024.
