Browns Predicted To Replace Nick Chubb With 6’0, 50-TD RB in 2025 NFL Draft

The Cleveland Browns are predicted to replace impending free-agent Nick Chubb with a 6'0", 50-TD running back in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.

The Cleveland Browns’ offense had a rough season. Outside of Jerry Jeudy, there wasn’t much to admire about the Team. Their running back room might look slightly different next season, with Nick Chubb expected to hit free agency.

In PFSN’s newest seven-round mock draft by Ben Rolfe, the Browns are projected to take a swing at a running back at the start of the third round.

With pick No. 67, they are predicted to take the national champion ballcarrier, Quinshon Judkins, from Ohio State University. Drafting a dynamic running back like Judkins could be the easiest way to improve and adequately replace the loss of Chubb.

    Quinshon Judkins’ Potential With Cleveland

If Cleveland is to succeed in the future, its offense must be overhauled, and Judkins could be a key piece of that puzzle.

He is a dynamic player with a knack for the end zone. In his three years in college, he scored 50 touchdowns.

Pairing him alongside a new quarterback to replace Deshaun Watson, who may not even be healthy for the beginning of the season, would offer an intriguing new-look backfield for the Browns. This mock has Shedeur Sanders as the next franchise quarterback in Cleveland to be paired with Judkins.

“Nick Chubb and D’Onta Foreman are heading to free agency, and both Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. are set to follow in 2026. Adding Quinshon Judkins in the third round will mean that multiple explosive weapons surround Shedeur Sanders as he starts his NFL career.

Judkins excels with an explosive first step and a thunderous running style that punishes defenders and forces missed tackles. Though his vision isn’t elite, his patient approach and power make him a consistent threat. His dense frame enables him to churn out yards after contact despite losing some of the dynamism we saw early in his collegiate career,” said Rolfe on Judkins and his potential partnership with Sanders.

Judkins was instrumental to Ohio State’s championship run this year. His tandem with TreVeyon Henderson was electric for the Buckeyes when Judkins registered 1,060 yards on 194 carries with 14 rushing touchdowns.

He paired that with 22 catches for 161 yards and two touchdowns. His production was down from his two previous years at Ole Miss as he split time with Henderson, but his impact was felt immensely.

Over his three-year career, Judkins had 4,227 scrimmage yards and 50 touchdowns and rushed for over 1,000 yards in all three seasons. While he had his worst season statistically, his yards per attempt were similar to his freshman season, where he posted 1,699 total yards.

Judkins in Cleveland would be very exciting, especially if paired with a potential new quarterback. His explosiveness gives him the ability to break off big plays while running through tackles and forcing defenders to miss. A backfield of Jerome Ford and Judkins can do some damage next season if the Browns decide to take Judkins.
