Broncos Super Bowl Champion Beefs With Chiefs Fans as Fallout Continues Over Refereeing Controversy Around Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are into their seventh straight AFC Championship Game after defeating the Houston Texans. Controversial decisions by the officials have marred the game for a swathe of fans.

While that is a thing of the past for most, former Denver Broncos guard Mark Schlereth remains entangled with Chiefs fans regarding the refereeing calls.

Mark Schlereth Continues To Point Fingers at Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs

Schlereth had discussed this issue on X previously as well, however, the three-time Super Bowl winner is still engulfed in the beef with Chiefs fans. One of the Chiefs fans’ main contentions is that Schlereth despises the Chiefs due to being a former member of their divisional rivals.

“He is a total chief hater and it’s eating him up that the Chiefs could 3 peat and fade out his donkey’s back-to-back!” one fan tweeted at him.

“These statements are all true,” Schlereth replied.

Per a report, Schlereth and one of his teammates were fined $5,000 each in a postseason game against the Chiefs in 1998 for having Vaseline on their arms. One of the Chiefs fans raised this issue as well.

“This guy talking yet got fined for cheating. Cry more tears,” tweeted a fan.

“I actually never was fined it was the Chiefs crying like a bunch of B’s,” the 58-year-old replied.

One fan highlighted that Schlereth’s claims of rigging the league are foolish. The user highlighted that he has years of experience on the gridiron to stand by his judgment.

“Speaking of stupid… you said you spent a lot of time on the field. Let me guess you were a landscaper? Get out clown,” Schlereth responded.

While Mahomes has come out in the open to discuss the accusations of biased refereeing, he has highlighted that calls can go in any team’s favor and that he has been on both sides of that issue.

Schlereth, on the other hand, is continuing to dig a line in the sand and is continuing to beef with Chiefs fans and the fan pages on X.
