The 2025 NFL Draft season is in full flow, with less than two months to go until NFL prospects from all over the country find out where they’ll be starting their professional careers. While many teams have defensive needs to consider entering April’s draft in Green Bay, nothing gets fans excited like a shiny new offensive weapon.
In the case of the Denver Broncos, PFSN’s latest seven-round mock draft has them drafting two highly sought-after offensive prospects in the opening two rounds.

Broncos Select Tight End Colston Loveland 20th Overall
After raising eyebrows across the league by taking quarterback Bo Nix with the 12th pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Broncos had a very respectable 2024 season, finishing third in the AFC West and clinching a playoff place.
Despite the strong showing in 2024, though, Denver struggled to find a reliable receiving option to complement Courtland Sutton, who caught more passes than DeVaughn Vele and Marvin Mims put together.
As Sutton stood out as the clear number one receiver for Nix, a host of secondary receivers battled it out for the number two role, with no clear winner emerging.
Enter Colston Loveland, a playmaking tight end out of the University of Michigan who has been slated for a first-round draft pick since before the 2024 draft. A former wide receiver, Loveland’s smooth route-running ability and sure hands would give Nix an immediate number two pass catcher.

Loveland is widely tipped to be taken by the Broncos at 20, and it makes sense for both parties. The Broncos need pass-catching help, while Loveland would step straight into a huge workload in Denver.
Omarion Hampton Falls to Denver in Round Two
While the 2025 running back class has a ton of hype heading into the draft, that can also result in teams waiting on the position, knowing there’ll be options later in the draft.
Omarion Hampton has been tipped to go in the first round of April’s draft, but analysts have varying opinions on the order of the running backs on offer.
The unquestionable number one back is Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty, who PFN’s mock has going to the Dallas Cowboys at 12. After Jeanty, though, it’s unclear how NFL teams will have the remaining running backs ranked.
With several prospects offering different skill sets, it’s not out of the question that many of them fall by day two.

In 2024, Denver’s running back situation mirrored that of its number two receiver battle. Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin, and rookie Audric Estime spent the entire season battling to become Sean Payton’s preferred lead back, but all three failed to inspire.
Omarion Hampton would shoot straight to the front of the queue for the Broncos and would line up next to Nix from the opening day of the 2025 season.
If Denver managed to pull this off, it would be an incredible coup for the franchise, with two day-one difference-makers on the roster. It remains to be seen how the offseason will shape up, but the Broncos could be a real force in 2025 if things fall into place.
