Who Are the Game Announcers for Broncos-Lions?

There will be familiar voices calling the Broncos and Lions, but they’re usually on CBS every Sunday. Kevin Harlan will provide the play-by-play, with Trent Green as the game analyst and Melanie Collins reporting on the sidelines.

Harlan’s voice is well-known by sports fans. He announces the NFL, the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, and the NBA. He’s called NFL games since 1994 when he started with FOX and moved on to CBS for the 1998 season. Harlan has called NFL preseason games for several teams, including the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, and Kansas City Chiefs.

Harlan’s voice has also been heard on several basketball highlights over the years. He’s been calling NBA playoff games on Turner Sports since 1996 and the NCAA Men’s Tournament on CBS since 1999. He was the voice of the Minnesota Timberwolves for nine seasons.

Collins has been covering NFL games on CBS since the 2018 season after being on CBS Sports Network as a sideline reporter for college football and basketball games. Her previous experience includes being a fill-in host for First Take and SportsNation on ESPN, covering several major events for Yahoo! Sports and hosting shows on Golf Channel.

    Trent Green’s NFL Career

The San Diego Chargers drafted Green in the eighth round in 1993, but he had to wait until 1997 to see his first regular-season action with Washington.

In 1999, Green signed a four-year contract with the St. Louis Rams to be the starting quarterback. Unfortunately, he suffered a season-ending knee injury in a preseason game that gave Kurt Warner the opportunity to start for the Rams. Warner went on to win the MVP and Super Bowl after leading St. Louis to a title in 1999.

Green started five games for the Rams in the 2000 season when Warner was out with an injury. In 2001, Green moved to Kansas City, where he played six seasons and was named to two Pro Bowls.

He was with the Miami Dolphins for one season and played his final season with the Rams in 2008. Green finished his career with a 60.6% completion percentage with 28,475 passing yards, 162 touchdowns, and 114 interceptions in 120 career games.

Green joined CBS as an NFL game analyst for the 2014 season after working at FOX, the NFL Network, and Westwood One Radio.
