The Washington Commanders will face the Carolina Panthers in Week 7. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, especially regarding RB Brian Robinson Jr.
Is Brian Robinson Jr. Playing in Week 7?
Brian Robinson could be on track to return in Week 7 after sitting out Week 6 with a knee injury. The third-year RB was officially limited at practice on both Wednesday and Thursday.
On Friday, Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said Robinson is “trending in the right direction” but said Washington has not decided on its starting RB’s status. Robinson is officially listed as questionable to face the Panthers.
Robinson was initially supposed to be a game-time decision in Week 6, but the Commanders ruled him out on Saturday afternoon. He was a DNP for all three of the club’s practices.
Robinson’s knee issue has been nagging him for some time. He played through the injury in Week 5 but received a season-low 34% of Washington’s offensive snaps and handled just seven carries.
The Commanders could manage Robinson’s workload if he plays in Week 7, but the Panthers are an appetizing matchup. No team allows more fantasy points to RBs than Carolina, while the club ranks 25th in rushing success rate.

Should You Start or Sit Brian Robinson Jr. in Week 7?
A right knee injury kept Robinson out of practice last week and resulted in his first DNP of the season. He was clearly limited in the Week 5 blowout win over the Browns, so it was telling that the team still elected to use him in scoring situations (two touchdowns).
B-Rob has scored in four of five games this season and has produced 9.1% over fantasy expectations. We’ve seen his vision make nice strides this season from last (yards per carry before contact up 31.4%), and in an offense that can produce in many ways, that growth is great to see.
You’ll want to make sure Robinson is back on the practice field ahead of this difficult matchup. Assuming that he is, he’s worked himself into the must-start tier at the position.
