Bottoms: Marshawn Lynch To Star in New Comedy Movie

Former Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch will be starring in an upcoming comedy film titled "Bottoms."

Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch is bringing his acting prowess to the cinema with his starring role in a new comedy titled “Bottoms.”

Marshawn Lynch’s New Movie Role

Bottoms is a coming-of-age comedy highlighting two main actors, Rachel Sennott, the Shiva Baby and Bodies Bodies Bodies star, and Ayo Edebiri, the comedian, writer, producer, and actor extraordinaire, who play unpopular high schoolers who identify as queer. The audience follows their decision to establish a fight club their senior year, providing self-protection classes for girls at their school.

Where does Lynch come in on Bottoms? He’s the fight club advisor because his mom said he “needed a hobby.”

Based on the official trailer released today, June 6, 2023, this movie is a must-watch set to be released in theaters in August.

We’ve seen Marshawn featured in TV shows, video games, reality TV, and other gems. Starring in a comedy made by the creators of “Pitch Perfect” and “Cocaine Bear” is the perfect movie to bring Lynch’s charisma to the big screen.

Obviously, NFL — and, more specifically, Lynch fans — took to Twitter to provide some classic reactions to the NFL star’s involvement.

In his career, Lynch totaled 2,453 carries for 10,413 yards, 287 catches for 2,214 yards, and scored 94 touchdowns. He was also a five-time Pro Bowler and in the Super Bowl twice as a Seahawk (2014 and 2015), winning against the Denver Broncos in 2014.

Nicknamed “Beast Mode” for his unstoppable running style, Lynch would fuel his runs with Skittles, which he could be seen eating on the sidelines and were thrown on the field by fans.

Lynch ran with an intensity that scared opponents. He was just as likely to run through you as he was around you. It’s hard to explain the combination of strength and grace that he brought to the running game.

Marshawn trademarked his catchphrase with the media: “I’m just here so I don’t get fined.” Lynch is a lovable guy adored by all of America, except likely the media. His non-answers and one-word responses were hard for the reporters, but they are infamous in NFL history.
