Two Super Bowl contenders face off this Sunday night with the Bills and Chiefs. Buffalo (3-1) brings in one of the most complete teams in the NFL, while Kansas City (2-2) is still trying to find their footing on defense.

Fans want to see a great football game every time they turn on the TV. Much like in the AFC Championship Game, it’ll be a case of who can stop the opposing offense. The Bills rank first in the NFL in total defense. The Chiefs, meanwhile, allow the second-most yards per game, including the third-worst rushing defense (146 yards per game).

Nevertheless, the Chiefs’ offense has scored at will over the last two years. And they haven’t missed a beat in 2021 — tied with Buffalo at 33.5 points per game. The problem has been taking care of the ball. Through four games, Kansas City has turned the ball over 7 times, 4 of which were interceptions. Fumbles by Clyde Edwards-Helaire, however, have played significant roles in the Chiefs’ two losses.

Can the Chiefs stop the Bills’ offense?

Buffalo’s offense is led by quarterback Josh Allen, who isn’t exactly lighting opposing defenses up. In Buffalo’s lone one-score contest (and loss) in Week 1, Allen struggled. Since then, the defense has led the way. Allen and the offense have done an excellent job not turning the ball over, but the defense has the Bills tied for first in the NFL with a +7 turnover differential.

How much of that is a fluke? After all, Buffalo has played two of the worst offenses in the league, shutting out both the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans in Week 2 and Week 4, respectively. However, the best teams are opportunistic and take advantage of other teams’ mistakes, which Buffalo has done.

    Bills vs. Chiefs prediction

The Chiefs aren’t in desperation mode — at least not yet. At 2-2, they’re one game behind both the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders in the AFC West. Buffalo, on the other hand, has a firm grip on the AFC East.

In a game at home with a lot to play for, this almost feels like a must-win game for the Chiefs. Kansas City will need to learn a few things from Buffalo’s Week 1 loss in order to stop the Bills’ offense.

    Prediction: Chiefs 31, Bills 28
