NFL Fans React to Sean McDermott’s Untimely Call

Among the many critics of this play was Tom Brady, who made it clear during the broadcast that he did not like the move and correctly predicted that it would cost the Bills the game.

Allen is one of the most hyped-up players for the MVP title this year, and Week 14 solidified that following his electric performance against the Rams this week, even though it wasn’t enough to put himself on the winning side.

When asked about why he called for a timeout at such a crucial time, McDermott said, “When you’re in that situation, holding three timeouts, we felt like we could get the ball back with a legit chance to win the game with no timeouts.”

Along with the call, this statement wasn’t very well received by the fans, drawing various reactions from them as they expressed their frustration following the disappointing win.

One fan pointed out other calls by McDermott that cost the Bills the game; he said, “This game eventually came down to (2) terrible McDermott decisions… 1. Accepting the penalty which led to a TD rather than a FG attempt 2. Calling a run on the goal line, knowing if you didn’t get it, you would burn a TO and have a .0003% chance of winning.”

“Sean McDermott is showing up to ruin another all-time Josh Allen performance,” one fan said while pairing the comment with the viral meme.

“The 2 Mcdermott decisions plus the fact that Sean McVay thoroughly outclassed and out coached McDermott,” another fan added.

“He’s a great coach and except during most important parts of the game, it’s getting old,” another fan added.

“McD never was and will never be top notch in game management / strategist,” another fan commented.

    “WORST HC,” another fan declared.

“He needs to be in prison far away from 17,” another fan added.

The Bills will now play the Detroit Lions in Week 15 at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 15.
