Bills GM Brandon Beane Makes Plans Clear for 2025 Roster

The Buffalo Bills once again failed to reach the Super Bowl, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Now, the preseason is upon them, and they have big decisions to make.

Head coach Sean McDermott is considered to be in the clear. However, the Bills will need some changes in their roster, and general manager Brandon Beane has highlighted his plans.

GM Brandon Beane Points Out His Mindset for 2025’s Roster-Building

On Jan. 30, Beane held his end-of-season press conference and tackled several issues pertinent to the team. One burning question that many fans wondered about was the status of next year’s roster.

The Bills currently have 12 unrestricted free agents and two restricted free agents on their roster. Sorting this out will require most of Beane’s energy.

“It sucks. It hurts. But I’m not in the mood of you have to blow it all up. I don’t think that’s rational,” he said during the press conference regarding the roster.

The Bills have the 30th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and will look to bolster their squad (using free agency too!) with some fresh blood.

Beane Opens Up on Josh Allen’s Controversial Fourth-Down Play

As soon as the Bills were eliminated, the entire world started blaming the officials for favoring the Chiefs. GM Beane tackled this issue with grace during the press conference.

“It’s frustrating, there’s only so much I can say. We worked with the league to try to get clarity,” Beane said.

“I’ll give them credit, they’ve taken our calls, they’ve sent video and things like that … I feel like he got that [the failed fourth-down sneak]. And I still feel like he got that. I felt that in the moment, and nothing has changed my mind on that.”
