Beyoncé Rumored To Have Earned a Jaw-Dropping $20,000,000 for Netflix’s NFL Halftime Show on Christmas

    Published on

Beyoncé's halftime performance on Netflix as part of the NFL's Christmas Day doubleheader reportedly paid her eight figures for the show.

The NFL is officially taking over the Christmas holiday and made the day an event with its doubleheader on Netflix this year.

Everything went well for Netflix and the NFL. The streaming giant made everything big and produced these games as if they were the playoffs, including halftime performances. Mariah Carey was featured singing her iconic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” to open the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game.

The big performer was Beyoncé singing at halftime in front of her hometown crowd in Houston, with a one-of-a-kind performance singing multiple songs from her “Cowboy Carter” album live for the first time.

What Did Beyoncé Reportedly Get Paid for Performing?

Beyoncé’s halftime show between the Texans and Ravens was one that looked and felt like it was made for the Super Bowl.

There were trucks used as props, a marching band, and cameos from Post Malone and Shaboozey. This was truly a speculator show.

However, one key difference between this Christmas Day game on Netflix compared to performances at the Super Bowl is that Beyoncé is reportedly being paid $20 million for the show.

The Super Bowl halftime show is known to not pay its performers at all, but to offer free promotion for the large audience that typically exceeds well over 100 million viewers.

The 32-time Grammy winner does have an existing deal with Netflix worth $60 million for three projects she agreed to in 2019.

Beyoncé already did a film for “Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé” for Netflix and also a documentary surrounding her 2018 Coachella performance. A good guess would be that the NFL halftime performance would be the third big performance with Netflix.

Netflix Will Make Beyoncé’s Show a Standalone Special

To get the most out of the reported $20 million her performance, Netflix will be making the NFL Christmas Day halftime special as its own show to watch on the streaming-giant platform.

Beyoncé’s performance included songs from “16 Carriages,” “Blackbiird,” “American Requiem,” “Ya Ya,” “Spaghettii/Riverdance,” “Levi’s Jeans,” “Jolene,” and her mega-hit “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
