‘Literally a Spectacle’ — NFL Fans React To Beyoncé’s Halftime Show During Netflix’s Ravens-Texas Christmas Game

Beyoncé's Christmas Day halftime show was highly anticipated, and she delivered. Below we look at the social media sentiment around the halftime concert.

The Christmas Day NFL games have grown in popularity over the years. With the NFL kicking off its newest digital partnership with Netflix for the 2024 holiday, the league pulled out the big guns.

In a spectacle on par with the Super Bowl Halftime Show, Beyoncé took center stage in Houston. As you’d expect, football fans (and non-fans) had massive reactions to the halftime concert.

Widespread Acclaim for Beyoncé’s Halftime Show

The halftime show led to an extended break, not unlike what teams deal with during the Super Bowl. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson had jokingly promised during the week to watch the concert instead of staying back in the locker room, and with good reason given what occurred.

The best summation was “literally a spectacle,” which is what one fan dubbed the rare regular season halftime concert.

Just as the Super Bowl tends to bring non-football fans to the television via its commercials and halftime show, Beyoncé managed to bring family members together during the holiday who weren’t necessarily concerned with the state of the Houston Texans offense.

Some noted that their “entire family” had gathered to watch the NFL on Netflix.

The show included numerous spectacular guest appearances and visual effects, many of which gained traction on social media.

Some viewers even called portions of the concert “heavenly” with the white wardrobe throughout.

The vast majority of reactions to the show were positive, unsurprising given Beyoncé’s status as one of the more popular artists today.

“Me liking every tweet that’s praising Beyoncé half time performance,” one fan posted.

Surprisingly, Pro Football Network’s own poll revealed a more divided audience, with nearly all respondents grading the show at either an ‘A’ or ‘D/F.’
