Best Tight Ends for Fantasy Football in 2024: Mark Andrews, Travis Kelce, Sam LaPorta, and Others

At the tough tight end position, who is the top fantasy football option to draft, and why does one name in particular stand out as a target?

One of the most frustrating positions for fantasy football drafts is at tight end, and knowing who to target at the position is always tough. The problem is the general shortage of viable options to consistently contribute week after week.

It’s a simple issue of supply and demand. There is a bigger demand for the position and there is not enough supply to ensure that every fantasy manager can feel comfortable with who they draft. That pushes up the value of the position as a whole and strips away the majority of the value come draft day.

Which TEs Should You Draft for Fantasy Football?

In contrast to other positions where you can say with confidence that there are good players to target for fantasy, the tight end position is a little different. To some extent, you just have to hold your nose and dive into the pool, even if the water does not look as clear and crisp as you might like.

Simply put, you have to just pick your poison or be willing to spend heavily. You either have to say that you will take the likes of Travis Kelce or Sam LaPorta in the first few rounds, or you have to rely on whichever mid-to-late-round option that you are comfortable with. In the latter scenario, you are banking on high-performing players at other positions and hoping the tight end does its best to bank points.

Perhaps the only tight end that is a value right now is Mark Andrews. Among the elite options, he is the best value because of his lesser ADP. Last year’s injury and concerns about his role within the offense have driven that price down.

Therefore, if you are going to make a proactive attempt to chase a tight end, Andrews is my favorite one to draft in fantasy football this season.
