Is Wild Card Weekend the best weekend of sports? I mean, I might be biased (I love football) — but some of the best NFL games I’ve ever seen have taken place this weekend, and who’s to say this won’t be one of them?
The Green Bay Packers are heading into Philadelphia to face the Eagles as 5.5-point underdogs. The Eagles boast a defense that ranks in the top 10 in the league in almost every metric, while the Packers’ defense is ranked 10th according to PFN’s DEF+ metrics. The question is – which offense will function more efficiently, and most importantly – who will hit their overs?
Remember — for lines above -150, we generally don’t take these straight up (odds are too high), but we like to mix these into two or three-leg parlays. Also, in the same light, it’s worth noting that if you like several of these lines, it could be worth teasing them down a bit before combining them if you’re building a parlay.
Our Favorite Player Props and Game Lines: Packers at Eagles
Jordan Love, U223.5 Passing Yards (-110)
We love Jordan Love (lol) as a prospect and an all-around QB, but unfortunately, we don’t love him in this matchup under the current circumstances. We’ve seen what he can do in the playoffs (41 points vs. Dallas in last year’s Wild Card Round), but this Eagles defense is a whole other story.

Love has missed this line in four of his last five games — on top of that, he hurt his elbow in last week’s loss versus the Chicago Bears. Although he’s slated to play, an injury to your throwing elbow doesn’t raise confidence levels for a QB who hasn’t thrown over 220 yards since Week 15, and who is facing a solid (B- ranked, according to our DEF+ metrics) Eagles pass defense.
Dallas Goedert, O3.5 Receptions (-135)
Dallas Goedert returned from a knee injury that cost him four games last week, and Philadelphia made a point to get him involved early. Grant Calcaterra hasn’t reached 35 receiving yards since October, and his failure to provide value to the Eagles’ passing game has me optimistic that Goedert will assume a full-time role this weekend.
I’m not sure there’s much in the way of a ceiling when it comes to Goedert’s profile, but this is a potent offense with a multi-game projection — that’s enough to have my attention in this Sunday’s matchup.
With four catches for 55 yards in his first game back last week, we love Goedert to surpass these numbers in his second week back.
DeVonta Smith, O5.5 Receptions (+105)
OK, people — this is our lock of the game. With all of the talk surrounding A.J. Brown — A.J. Brown and his target share, A.J. Brown and Jalen Hurts — we (along with multiple defenses, apparently) have overlooked the consistency of the No. 2 WR, Devonta Smith.
Smith has very quietly put up huge numbers over his past three games. In that span, he’s had 23 catches for 280 yards and three TDs. Is that good? It seems good.
We like 5.5 here, but we also love 4.5 if you want to tease it down a bit and add it to a parlay of your choice.
Josh Jacobs, Anytime TD (-115)
Josh Jacobs has been extremely efficient and productive all season, breaking Paul Hornung’s franchise record for consecutive games with a rushing touchdown with eight straight. The former Las Vegas Raiders back has played a big part in the Green Bay Packers’ red-zone offense ranking 10th after producing at a below-average level for most of the season.
Not only has Jacobs scored in eight straight games, but he’s scored 13 TDs in that span. Even facing a tough Eagles rush defense, at -115 a Jacobs anytime TD is a lock on our betting sheet.
Romeo Doubs, O3.5 Receptions (-140)
With downfield threat Christian Watson out against the Eagles, Love and the Packers are going to be forced to look elsewhere in the passing game. As dynamic a player as Jayden Reed is, he is just simply too inconsistent. His line is also at 3.5 receptions, a line of which he’s gone over once in his last seven games.
On the flip side, Doubs has over four catches in five of his last 10 games and most recently hauled in seven targets on Dec. 29 versus the Minnesota Vikings. Without Watson in the lineup, Love has to throw to someone — and this is where Doubs will step in with 4+ receptions, we project.
