Joe Burrow is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and is often lauded for the way he carries himself both on and off the field. His Cincinnati Bengals are having a disappointing season, but their fans recently found something to cheer for.
In the first episode of HBO’s “Hard Knocks: In Season With the AFC North,” Burrow was seen talking to receivers Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase. During the conversation, he revealed that he had bought a Batmobile, the vehicle from the famous Batman series that reportedly cost $3 million.

The Bengals are 4-8 on the season and have lost four out of their last five games. They have the second-worst scoring defense in the league, allowing 28.3 points per game, and have lost four games in which their offense has put up 30+ points.
Major changes are coming in Cincinnati this offseason, as it simply cannot waste the prime of Burrow’s career. Zac Taylor, who led them to a Super Bowl three seasons ago, could also get fired if things don’t improve in the coming weeks.
Burrow Has Proved His Worth to the Bengals
Burrow signed a five-year, $275 million extension last year. He played only 10 games the following season as he dealt with calf and wrist injuries. It was the second time in his career that the Bengals quarterback did not finish the season due to injuries, with some pointing to his durability as a long-term issue.
However, Burrow has silenced all his critics this year. Despite the team’s poor record, he has posted perhaps the best season of his career. In 12 games, he has thrown for 3,337 yards, 30 touchdowns, and five interceptions, completing 67.7% of his passes with a passer rating of 107.4.
The LSU product leads the league in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and passing yards per game. Had Cincinnati’s defense been slightly better, Burrow could have won the first MVP award of his career.
The Bengals quarterback has proved this season that he is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and deserved to be paid accordingly. The team has wasted this season, which is why they should be aggressive in the offseason and leave no stone unturned to build another roster capable of winning a Super Bowl.
Part of that is keeping the passing offense as dangerous as possible. If Cincinnati parts ways with Higgins, there is no reason why they shouldn’t sign Chase to a massive contract extension. Maybe a few rides in the Batmobile can help Burrow sweeten the deal for his top target.
