‘Fire Matt Eberflus at Halftime’ – Bears Fans Blast HC After Packers Score TD With 12 Players on the Field and Offsides

Matt Eberflus earned criticism amongst Chicago Bears fans for allowing a TD despite having 12 men on the field against the Green Bay Packers.

Matt Eberflus is fighting for his job with the Chicago Bears. However, his performances haven’t done any favors for him lately.

After his team conceded a touchdown despite having 12 players on the field and offsides, Bears fans have had enough. They are ready to move on from Eberflus after this horrendous defensive play against the Green Bay Packers.

Matt Eberflus Concedes Against Packers With 12 Men on the Field

In the first quarter, the Packers broke the deadlock thanks to Jordan Love’s touchdown pass from 15 yards out. The shocking aspect of it, however, was that Chicago had 12 men on the field to stop that very thing from happening.

“12 men on the field and offsides and still gave up a td,” wrote Annie Agar on X (formerly Twitter).

“Fire Matt Eberflus at halftime please. 12 men on the field and they get an easy a** touchdown,” another fan added.

“12 men AND offsides on a touchdown. Matt Eberflus experience,” another fan tweeted.

“MATT EBERFLUS MASTERCLASS: His Bears defense had 12-men on the field, were offsides and still gave up a WIDE OPEN TOUCHDOWN. It takes some serious talent to be this bad,” one more fan added.

“12 men on the field. Typical unorganized mess for this Matt Eberflus coached #Bears team,” tweeted a fan.

“Really? An offsides AND 12 men on the field on a touchdown reception? Is Matt Eberflus a good defensive coordinator?” added one fan.

Eberlus Is in a Fight With History for the Bears’ Job

After going 4-2 to start the season, the cracks have begun to show in Chicago, as the Bears are now on a three-game losing streak. In such a scenario, the Bears’ history of getting first picks and then firing their head coach in the same season will continue.

Fans have already called for Eberflus to be booted from the organization. However, the 54-year-old is also fighting for his job against destiny. The Bears fired their head coaches in 2017 and 2021, the same year they used first-round picks on quarterbacks.

Caleb Williams’ draft selection could spell the end for Eberflus in Chicago. His results aren’t helping his fight as well.

Eberflus has a record of 14-29 with the Bears prior the conclusion of their Week 11 game against the Packers.
