Lamar Jackson gave it his all, but even a one-man highlight reel can’t win games on his own. The Baltimore Ravens’ playoff hopes got crushed by the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round, and of course, they are now looking to make necessary additions to Jackson’s arsenal.
One NFL analyst predicts they will trade for Davante Adams to boost their wide receiver room, which was led by young playmakers Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman in 2024.

Baltimore Ravens Predicted To Give Lamar Jackson Elite WR in Davante Adams
Baltimore bulked up its offense in different ways last summer, and one addition in particular thrived. Running back Derrick Henry was brought in via free agency, and Flowers took a huge leap in his sophomore campaign, finishing with 1,059 receiving yards while also earning a Pro Bowl selection.
But after failing to make the Super Bowl yet again, the Ravens are looking to make further additions, and The Sporting News’ Vinnie Iyer boldly predicts they will find Jackson a true WR1 in Adams.
“With Aaron Rodgers headed out of New York, Adams should also think about relocating his Taco Bell for a second time in a calendar year. The Saints aren’t happening with Derek Carr being a lame duck, and Adams won’t be following Rodgers to limited options. He should perk up at the thought of working into a high-flying passing game with Lamar Jackson. Baltimore needs more of a big outside presence in the red zone vs. a Kupp-type for inside.”
Adams was a second-round pick by Green Bay in the 2014 NFL Draft and became one of the best receivers in the league playing with Aaron Rodgers. He spent eight years with the Packers, leading the league in touchdowns (18) and receiving yards per game (98.1) in 2020 before being traded to Las Vegas in 2022, where he reunited with his Fresno State teammate, Derek Carr.
He led the league in touchdowns again in his first year as a Raider with 14, and 2022 capped off a stretch of six straight Pro Bowls and three straight first-team All-Pro selections. Las Vegas took a step back in 2023, and Adams was traded to the Jets early in the 2024 season.
Adams linked up with Rodgers in New York and played well in 14 games, totaling 85 receptions for 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns. The Jets couldn’t get out of their way in 2024 and hit the reset button, firing the head coach and general manager midseason.
Now, Adams is likely on the outs with New York with a looming $38.3 million cap hit, and the Ravens would be a perfect landing spot for him to compete for a Super Bowl ring. If the Ravens — who were rumored to be interested in the veteran early in the season last year — manages to pair him with Flowers and Batman, they would surely have one of the deadliest receiving trios in the league.
