Audric Estimé’s 40 Time: How Fast Is the 2024 NFL Draft Prospect?

    Published on

Get to know Audric Estime's 40-yard dash time, as the bruising Notre Dame RB looks to take a leap in the 2024 NFL Draft.

After a successful college career with Notre Dame, running back Audric Estimé declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Estimé was the workhorse back in arguably the best offense in Notre Dame history. His senior year, he rushed for 1,341 yards and scored 18 touchdowns.

Let’s take a look at how Estime performed at the NFL Combine and what his scouting report looks like.

    Audric Estimé’s NFL Combine Performance

Estimé measured well at the NFL Combine, but he did not run that well.

His 5’11 3/8″ height puts him in the 70th percentile in direct comparison to his peers at the RB position. His 221-pound frame put him in the 73rd percentile.

Estimé’s measurements compare well to the coveted size and strength of an NFL running back, but he did not test as well in the 40-yard dash.

    How Fast Is Estimé?

The 20-year-old Notre Dame back ran a 4.71-second 40-yard dash.

Estimé’s 40-yard dash put him in the 10th percentile in direct comparison to his peers at the running back position.

While Estimé’s 40-yard dash likely will not jump off the page for NFL general managers, his tape and explosiveness during his career with the Fighting Irish could make up for one poor drill at the combine.

    How Old Is Estimé?

Born Sept. 6, 2003, Estimé will turn 21 years old right as the NFL regular season is about to kick off.

We know running backs, unfortunately, do not have a long shelf life in the NFL. Estimé is one of the youngest prospects in the drafts, and his college production, paired with his young age, will make him an enticing selection.

    Estimé’s Latest Scouting Report

Estimé has always been a bruising, physical presence out of the backfield. As a high school running back, he averaged over 10 yards per attempt.

In Estimé’s scouting report, Pro Football Network draft analyst Ian Cummings explains that he might have more of a refined role in the NFL. He was a workhorse at Notre Dame, but there’s always a place for runners that can keep the chains moving with physicality in the next level.

Estimé is described as “a bowling ball of a back” with overwhelming mass, density, and leg churn. He can use his frame and smooth weight distributions to shrug off direct contact from defenders.

“Estimé wins as a reliable volume back with great explosiveness — corroborated by his 38″ vertical and 10’5″ broad jump — good layered vision on the interior, passable one-cut agility, and an overwhelming physical profile that features dominating play strength, density, physicality, and hyper-elite contact balance,” Cummings wrote.

“With his solid processing ability, vision, patience, and discipline between the tackles, Estimé can find lanes through which to chisel upfield with his fleet-footed burst and savvy hip adjustments.”

Behind a good offensive line, Estimé has the tools to become a David Montgomery type of running back who can keep the chains moving when his team has the lead.
