The Arkansas State Red Wolves finished the season tied for the worst record in the Sun Belt at 3-9. It may come as no surprise that there is only one NFL Draft prospect looking to make a name for himself come the end of April. Kivon Bennett’s scouting report looks at whether or not the talented linebacker could hear his name called during the three-day event.
Arkansas State 2023 NFL Draft Scouting Reports
Kivon Bennett, LB
Strengths: Tennessee transfer who came out of a three-point stance for Arkansas State but projects to linebacker. Plays with good pad level, uses his hands to protect himself, and pursues the action with speed. Agile, can bend off the edge, and immediately alters his angle of attack. Rarely off his feet, explosive, and stays with assignments. Plays with a nasty attitude.

Weaknesses: Easily out-positioned by a single blocker. More of a drag-down tackler. Hasn’t been used in space or asked to make plays in reverse over the past two seasons.
Overall: Bennett was an undersized pass rusher at Arkansas State over the past two seasons, but he projects as a weakside linebacker and may even get looks on the inside of a 3-4.
