With training camp getting underway, excitement is building around the NFL for the new season. However, it is never too early to start thinking about how teams look to improve in future years, and what better way to do that than through a mock draft?
With the Arizona Cardinals expected to have another tough season, sportsbook odds have them set to pick inside the top 10 once again in 2025. That would put them in a position to add another potential game-changing talent to their roster, but will they look to reinforce their offense or defense?
Let’s examine the potential outcome in our seven-round Cardinals mock draft.
Who Could the Arizona Cardinals Draft in 2025?
1.7) Arizona Cardinals: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
Yes, the Cardinals just picked a wideout in the top 10, with Marvin Harrison Jr. at No. 4 overall. But even with Harrison’s addition, the team’s WR room is still razor thin. Adding a perfect complement like Luther Burden III could help this offense take the next step with Kyler Murray.
While Harrison is the ultimate WR1 with unmatched gravity, Burden is the 5’11”, 208-pound RAC revolutionary who can eat up defenses underneath, while Harrison creates space. And on top of his RAC ability, Burden has strong hands and separation upside.
While the Cardinals do have Trey McBride to give them extra explosiveness in terms of pass catchers, they lack a long-term option at WR outside of Harrison. Burden would give them that, and save them having to chase a potentially high-cost WR option in free agency.
2.39) Arizona Cardinals: Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE, Penn State
At 6’5″, 270 pounds, Dani Dennis-Sutton’s athletic profile isn’t dissimilar to that of Jason Pierre-Paul.
Dennis-Sutton still has room to expand his pass-rush arsenal, but he has every tool in his toolbox, and there are bright flashes of both power and finesse execution.
The Cardinals’ addition of Dennis-Sutton would make for an intriguing pass-rush group. They added BJ Ojulari in 2023 and Darius Robinson in the first round in 2024. Together, that could be a terrifying rotation for a group that currently has talent but lacks the depth they would ideally like.
3.71) Arizona Cardinals: Azareye’h Thomas, CB, Florida State
Alongside Max Melton and Sean Murphy-Bunting, Azareye’h Thomas can lock down one boundary with his explosiveness, physicality, and ball skills at 6’2″, 194 pounds.

The long and short of it is that you can never have too many options at CB. Thomas would be a nice addition to the rotation with 2024 draft pick Elijah Jones.
