Peyton Manning’s Nephew Arch Manning Shrugs Off NFL Draft Pressures

The weight of the“Manning name is immense, something Arch knows and likes to avoid as much as possible.

The legacy of legendary players Peyton and Eli over the years set expectations sky-high for their successors, which Arch has been trying to reach since he committed to Texas. After just two years with the program, he is already a budding star, with fans eagerly waiting to see what’s actually in his bag.

This week, he had a sit-down interview with ESPN’s Marty Smith. He discussed various aspects of the game, including how he handles the NFL Draft pressure — where he is viewed as a prospect who could go No. 1 overall if he reaches his fullest potential.

“I haven’t done anything,” Manning said with humility, highlighting the undue attention he has been receiving.

“I’ve started two football games. There’s a lot more guys that have done a lot more than me. But I’m trying to get there,” he added while also mentioning the Manning pressure. “I don’t really worry about it; I’m taking it day by day,” he said.

“Quinn [Ewers] even told me after the game, just take it day by day. Don’t worry about anything. Just enjoy the ride. That’s what I’m going to try and do. I’m worried about what I’m going to have for lunch today rather than next year,” he added with a big smile.

Manning got some action in the 2024 season, recording 939 passing yards with a completion rate of 67.8% and scoring nine touchdowns. The future looks extremely bright for the emerging star.
