Top Anytime TD Scorer Predictions Week 10: PJ Walker’s Last Stand on Thursday Night Football

Here are our Thursday Night Football anytime TD scorer predictions for NFL bettors seeking solid odds for the Panthers vs. Falcons matchup.

If you enjoy making NFL bets on player touchdowns, or if the thought has crossed your mind, then welcome to our Week 10 rundown of favorite anytime TD scorer predictions for Thursday Night Football between the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons.

We’ve analyzed the game’s highest-probability scripts to assess the most likely outcomes, including which players are the best bets to reach the end zone. All prop bets are taken from DraftKings, FanDuel, or BetMGM.

TNF NFL Week 10 Anytime TD Scorer Predictions

The following NFL betting recommendations are based on proprietary PFN predictive analytics culled from decades of NFL historical data. Using this data, I’ve built dozens of models showing actionable probabilities of better-than-expected and worse-than-expected outcomes.

    DJ Moore (+155) — FanDuel

First of all, if this game ends up being 3-0, everything I write here is moot. We all know touchdowns aren’t guaranteed, and sometimes the least likely players find the end zone.

With that in mind, I really like DJ Moore’s TD potential tonight. The opposing Falcons are surrendering exactly 300 receiving yards per game. Do you know which other teams in NFL history have given up more receiving yards per game in the Super Bowl era?

    Zero.

That’s right. Since 1970, no team has been this porous. A few have come close, including the 1995 Falcons (297 per game).

Atlanta has also given up 15 passing scores, which is two shy of the NFL lead. They’re in uniquely bad shape, and Moore is Carolina’s No. 1 wideout in one of the league’s most top-heavy receiving units. It adds up to better than 50/50 odds of scoring.

Terrace Marshall Jr. (+310) — BetMGM

This is a hedge. In a game where the Panthers should score at least twice through the air, I’m betting Moore and/or Terrace Marshall Jr. will be on the receiving end.

These odds are quite favorable, and not just because Marshall has come alive over the last couple of weeks since Robbie Anderson’s departure. As a 2021 second-round draft pick, Marshall was supposed to become what we’ve recently seen: a weekly threat for solid yardage and a score.

    PJ Walker (+1100) — BetMGM

In my Sunday Night Football piece a few days ago, I walked through why Patrick Mahomes was a great anytime-TD bet at his +550 odds. The Chiefs’ all-world QB came through.

PJ Walker might be an even better bet versus the often hapless Falcons. I like betting on QBs with their backs against the wall. Walker was pulled last weekend for Baker Mayfield. The team is returning to Walker, but the writing is on the wall. If he doesn’t produce, he could get pulled again, and this time for good.

I believe we’ll see Walker operate more boldly tonight than usual, including running more in an attempt to keep the defense off balance. He doesn’t just need a win; he needs to lead his team to victory. Remember that if he runs one in tonight.

    Kyle Pitts (+250) — FanDuel

Although I wish the odds were a little higher, we’ll take it. The painfully underutilized Kyle Pitts remains a top target for Marcus Mariota. At his best, the Panthers shouldn’t have an answer for him. But Mariota hasn’t been able to consistently elevate him.

Tonight, he might not have a choice. I believe Carolina’s offense will storm through the Falcons’ D, forcing Atlanta to shift more into passing mode. Obviously, that should give Pitts more opportunities, including in the red zone. We have to remember that he’s better than we’ve seen and that more breakouts are on the horizon.

    Damiere Byrd (+800) — FanDuel

You probably didn’t click on this article looking for a Damiere Byrd prediction, but he’s the ideal boom-bust flier at +800 odds.

If you want to bet even odds on over/under 22.5 receiving yards, I can’t help you. It’s a toss-up when someone like Byrd might not get more than one target.

But an 8-to-1 payout on a touchdown for a guy with 4.28 speed? Sure, let’s go for it.

    KhaDarel Hodge (+2200) — FanDuel

While he hasn’t scored this season, KhaDarel Hodge has enjoyed a solid complementary role in a WR-needy offense. His 16 snaps last week were the most since Week 5. I’m banking on at least a dozen more snaps tonight.

And assuming Atlanta’s playing from behind for a large percentage of the game (that’s my belief, anyway), Hodge should get more run in late-game, pass-heavy sets.
