Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are set to play the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59 — a rematch of Super Bowl 57, which Kansas City won 38-35.
Kelce is in his 12th season in the league and has already solidified his spot as arguably the greatest player ever to play the tight end position. Due to his experience, he is able to teach the young players around him and was recently praised for this trait by his head coach.

Andy Reid Opens Up on the Difference in Coaching Travis Kelce
Andy Reid recently appeared on “The Herd With Colin Cowherd.” The FS1 analyst asked the Chiefs head coach whether he coaches Kelce differently, as the 35-year-old tight end is self-aware of the moment and knows when to turn it up a notch.
“I’d probably say yes, to be honest with you, because I’ve been around him for so much so long, and we’ve had him my whole duration here and drafted him,” Reid said.
“So, I kind of know where he’s at, physically, mentally. I know what he can do in games, so we try to utilize him. I also know what’s around him, which helps him because for a while there, we were banged up a little bit, and guys were trying to learn, and, you know, he was being double-teamed, and that wasn’t as good for him.”
“He would be a heck of a football coach. He’s able to get up there, explain things and teach these young guys what he sees and feels.”

Reid later praised Kelce’s ability to help players around him, and mentioned the star tight end has the feel to become a good head coach.
“Travis would be a heck of a football coach,” Reid added. “He’s able to get up there and explain things and teach these young guys exactly what he sees and feels, not that they all have that same talent, but he’s got a good feel for the game.”
Kelce’s excitement for the game is often seen during his weekly podcast with his brother Jason. However, since he has become much more successful in his life away from the field, it will be hard for the future Hall of Famer to devote his life to becoming a head coach.
The Chiefs star’s relationship with Taylor Swift has brought him opportunities to succeed in other industries. He’ll likely try to succeed in other ventures rather than continuing with football-related activities, as the coaches have to put in a significant amount of work to become the best at what they do.
Kelce Could Retire After Super Bowl 59
Kelce’s future in the NFL is uncertain as there is a huge possibility he might retire after the upcoming Super Bowl matchup against the Eagles. The 10-time Pro Bowler was rumored to walk away from football last year, but he continued to play, in part because the Chiefs were aiming to three-peat as Super Bowl champions.
If Kansas City wins in the Super Bowl and becomes the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls, Kelce could go out on top.
Kelce has recorded nine catches for 136 yards and a touchdown in two playoff games this year. Chiefs fans will hope that he can turn back the clock in the Super Bowl and have another big game against the Eagles.
The last time the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl, Kelce had six receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown. He has averaged 87.5 receiving yards per game in four Super Bowl appearances in his career, and will be determined to put on a show against the Eagles, as it could be the last game of his iconic career.
