As we close in toward the new season, the ever-changing NFL landscape has player fantasy values constantly on the move, with key events like free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft still to come. Whether you’re used to the dynasty platform or are still learning the rules, let’s dive into the latest dynasty fantasy football value of WR Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Amon-Ra St. Brown’s Dynasty Outlook and Value
I try not to play favorites. That’s the fair and balanced thing to do. But when it comes to St. Brown, I don’t care, and you can’t stop me from loving him there. I think we’re on the same page now.
But in all serious, what else do you need to see? The way St. Brown ended the 2021 season should’ve told you everything. From Weeks 13 through 18, the only wide receiver to outscore him was Cooper Kupp. Over that stretch (six games), St. Brown had 51 receptions on a whopping 67 targets for 560 yards and five touchdowns. On a per-game basis, that’s 11.2 targets, 8.5 receptions, 93.3 yards, 0.8 touchdowns, and 25.2 PPR points per game.

In 2022, St. Brown hit the ground running. He recorded the eighth-highest target share in the league at 28.08% and was 11th in points per game at 16.7 PPR while finishing as the WR7 overall. He tied A.J. Brown with 146 targets and was one of only seven receivers to record over 100 receptions (106), generating 1,161 yards and six touchdowns.
We haven’t seen the best of St. Brown, and if the Lions end up upgrading at quarterback, what is stopping him from finishing inside the top three? I’d say not very much, as even a healthy Jameson Williams will not significantly impact St. Brown’s target share as they will operate in different areas of the field. If anything, the vertical pressure of Williams opens things up more underneath.
Amon-Ra St. Brown’s Fantasy Ranking
St. Brown is not only a WR1 but also my No. 6 overall wide receiver for dynasty PPR leagues. When it comes to Superflex formats, where quarterbacks receive an increase in value due to positional scarcity, St. Brown is the No. 18 overall player.
I’ve loved his game since he was a freshman at USC, and nothing has changed. He’s perfectly matched with Jared Goff’s playstyle but has become a well-rounded, physical WR who cannot only win on the perimeter but can soak up the volume out of the slot, which is hypercritical in PPR formats.
But if all of a sudden the Lions bring in a new QB with vastly more upside, then it only further raises the floor, although St. Brown is currently receiving elite target share numbers and volume already.
If, for some reason, a manager is willing to trade St. Brown, run, don’t walk, and do what it takes to acquire him because he is that special. Those who jumped in with me last year when his ADP was in the 50s walked away with one of the biggest steals of the season. St. Brown is as close to untouchable as it gets.
