As we inch toward the new season, the ever-changing NFL landscape has player fantasy values constantly on the move. Whether you’re used to the dynasty platform or are still learning the rules, let’s dive into the latest dynasty fantasy football value of Allen Lazard.
Allen Lazard’s Dynasty Outlook and Value
After barely playing as a UDFA in 2018, Lazard carved out a semi-productive role in his sophomore season. For each of the next three years, Lazard averaged between 9.3 and 9.8 fantasy points per game.
While he has splashes of fantasy relevance, it was never really sustained. His best seasonal finish was WR44.

Heading into the 2022 season, there was a lot of optimism surrounding Lazard. The Packers traded away Davante Adams, paving the way for him to operate as the team’s WR1.
Lazard isn’t a particularly special player. But he did about as well as could be expected in his team’s WR1 role. Lazard set career-highs across the board. He saw a 21.1% target share, catching 60 passes for 788 yards and six touchdowns. Lazard’s 11.7 ppg and WR34 finish were both career-bests as well.
Allen Lazard’s Fantasy Ranking
Now entering his sixth NFL season, Lazard is still just 27 years old. He’s done enough to prove he can be a useful NFL receiver. With that said, Lazard has no business being a team’s WR1. He probably shouldn’t even be a WR2.
Nevertheless, he does appear poised to occupy that role on the Jets. If there was any lingering doubt, the Jets finalizing a trade for Aaron Rodgers should remove it.
There’s no doubt that Garrett Wilson will be the Jets’ WR1. But Lazard’s contract suggests he will play ahead of Mecole Hardman and Corey Davis.
Even with Rodgers, though, how much value does Lazard have now that he’s the WR2? Lazard is unlikely to see anywhere near the volume he did in 2022. And it remains to be seen whether Rodgers is still capable of supporting multiple fantasy-relevant wide receivers.
For dynasty, there’s the added element of what happens after Rodgers inevitably retires after this season or next. I do not envision Lazard having much fantasy value playing with any other quarterback.
Fantasy managers should consider Lazard a WR5/6. We have him at WR51 (No. 131 overall) in our dynasty Superflex rankings. He’s fine to keep on the back of rosters and may have moments where he is startable. But Lazard likely just had his best season. He’s not someone to target in dynasty startup drafts.
